Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Has the bus become the free pensioner community transport?
Rochow has similar issues to Sue in that he is too slow for the edge and too small for the middle.
Can we get Frankenfurter with Benji if we are going to do the timewarp again

So Benji is too old, Rochow isn't good enough and Gibbs is unproven. Who exactly would you like us to sign given we're running 2nd last, need to fill a roster and have a salary cap?

I agree with you. Fair dinkum, some contributors on this site would boo Santa Claus. Given the talent available, Rochow is a solid buy. Not spectacular, but solid. Benji would be a great buy at the right price. He'll love finishing his career at WT and will be terrific backup for a number of backline positions.

All good Yoss .

Most of us love your info and are happy with signings so far.

Don't worry about negative feedback.

We are rebuilding and what we've signed so far is going to make us stronger than our 2017 side.

God only knows what people expect after our last 3 to 5 years

Benji if we got him for 150k would be a bargain. Our memberships and sponsors would go up 10%
at least. That would cover our halves for the year anyway. Still have plenty of cash left.

I'm not usually sentimental and wanted him gone asap previously.

Nonetheless, things change, facts change. Various management issues have alienated many "average fans". I think showing that our young club and forgive and forget would be a positive.

We have very few good news stories in our history, and this year has been rough. We need a better story to sell as much as we need on field success.

I would love to see Benji back. We need some players available to slot into the spine. He can also play off the bench and do a utility job. It'd be great.

If true .., Benji would be great just adding some buzz to the place regardless of whether he plays at a good level.. will be a good story for the Tigers .. sell a few jerseys and make a few people happy … and if he plays well.. that's a bonus .. smart signing if it's true

Not sure if he would play much FG, but I wouldn't want him and Reynolds in the halves. Reynolds would have to spend time at 9, or one of Brooks, benj or Reynolds would be in reserve grade.

All scenarios are an upgrade on current depth which is 0

He'd be on the 300 400 mark anything under would be an insult

Broncos gave him 100k.
Offer him 200k.

Remember hes just a back up…

400? No bloody way…

Happy to have him but at an insulting price.

Can't believe I'm saying this but i would have Benji back. I wanted him gone in 2013 but times change.

He played for 100K this year and I really admire that. There is no more prime donna in him. He has been knocked around.

We have very unreliable halves next year in Reynolds and Brooks and Benji could be better then both. At least he should be thinking that way.

He won't command top dollar and he would give the club plenty of value in terms of memberships and atmosphere.

I say yes to a 1 year deal.
