I get the vibe with Cini that he’s one of those players who has wraps coming through the grades, but never amounts to anything. A dime a dozen at our club over the years.

Thoughts on Cini?
I’ve seen him play a few times in the lower grades and he still looks a little underdone, certainly not there yet with his defence.

I can’t see him playing this year, last year we brought Hoffman up before him.

Would he be going back to a development contact with Penrith? As that’s currently where Laurie is positioned.
That could be the roadblock in it happening

If this happens then we are looking stronger next year. Add Tamou, JO, Roberts and Laurie and a few of our weaknesses have been filled. If Simpkin and Liddle step up then I reckon we should give the top 8 a good crack.

Mbye would be a really excellent 14 imo. Can play anywhere in the backline and fill in at hooker.

That is probably his spot with how things are playing, possibly 5/8th. Its great to see we actually have options and genuine competition for positions.

Yes, the most likely scenario, but as someone mentioned though, does anyone know how Laurie will handle first grade, I understand he has really no first grade experience?

I reckon we'll find someone to take him for his final season where he'll play fullback (Brisbane? Canterbury?) but we'll have to pay half of his contract.

I like the idea of playing Laurie at 1 and Mbye at 14 but is Laurie ready ? If he is a legitimate talent and we get him early we have a lot of improvement in us.

I'm not trying to be pessimistic but we have holes and issues all over the park with our current team and picking us to make the finals is nuts. I think though we are a team who could surprise to the upside.

Laurie is plenty talented, he might not be a hit in first grade straight away but keeping him in reserves won’t do him any good. The sooner he can get first grade experience the better

I haven't commented on this because it's nearly as good as signing the Australian team on $150k each for the next 3 years. Please God make it so.
