Who wants Mbye? Any takers.
Losing JR gives us another space to fill, which is a bonus.

I still think Mbye will have a roll to play this year.

If Reynolds goes and Laurie arrives, with Doueihi out round 1 does that put Mbye at 5/8th and Laurie at 1 for the 1st game?

I can Mbye being forced to play in the halves in case of emergency.

Broook/Doueihi would be be the frontrunners.

Walters would still be a way off in his ACL recovery wouldn't he? I am not sure Madden is ready for 1st grade yet. Do we have anyone else?

The best part is Cini's spot in the Top 30 gets taken by Laurie still leaving 2 spots to fill..well done Adam

Yeah that is a great move by Hartigan, interesting where that leaves Mbye for next season.

Mbye would be a really excellent 14 imo. Can play anywhere in the backline and fill in at hooker.

i dunno what happened with him, he looked uninterested last year.

Agree was disinterested and looked like did not really want to play. Also hear that his Knee was busted latter part of the season so might be better off coming into a new season.

He's good utility value but over priced.

If Reynolds leaves its great having the $500k for next season but who will take it up? We have cash now to spend.

It’s great to have another roster spot but I’m more worried about not being able to spend the cash we have let alone another reported $500k

What they don't spend they will just front load a few contracts to open up more cap space for next year.

Madden is a half? Never seen him play though.

Just thinking is it too much pressure for Laurie?

James Hooper reporting that Reynolds will sign a 3 year deal with Hull FC in the coming 24 hours, freeing up a good $500k in our cap

https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/nrl-2020-josh-reynolds-super-league-deal-hull-fc-wests-tigers-release/news-story/cea6623009f6f4d6d494dce4d0b86a9a

Wow that would be huge.

Money could be used for a lot of different things

I will control how I feel about this because it will probably lead to massive disappointment.

I hope it happens. Could be used to help keep Musgrove and Nofa or someone good could become available. It is James Hooper though he’s not the most reliable.... but he’s got a few right this year

We’ve made Nofo and Musgrove offers by the sounds of it. They can take them or leave them. Throwing extra coin at players is what we would have done years ago. That extra money can be used better IMO.

Just that there’s no one to sign for next season who’ll be worth much. If we have the money leftover may as well use it to try keep some of our guys

I don't think Madden is ready either.

Well who else is available, not saying Laurie shouldn’t be there, but it seems to be a weakness in the team already.

Talau, Kepaoa, ?

Sent this from a guy in PNG

Edene Gebbie is on a development contract with West Tigers. The PNG Hunters coach Matt Church confirmed that Gebbie is not among the Hunters contingent to relocate to Queensland to participate in the Intrust Super Cup competition.

Church confirmed he is in contact with West Tigers officials to see how can he assist in Gebbie's fitness during the transition.

This should be a welcoming news for Tigers fans who have been advocating for Gebbie's inclusion in our 2021 roster. He gives a lot of options in the backline (fullback, wing & center).

I think it's train and trial not development yet and I did tell him it's Wests..

Great, untapped market up there IMO.

Really hope this is true.

So let me get this straight, I just woke up too:

Laurie early release for Cini
Reynolds shipped off to ESL (MASSIVE cap relief)
Edene Gebbee is on a train and trial

Wow, can I wake up to this type of news everyday! All of a sudden we’re looking dangerous for 2021 with 3 roster spots now with the $ we also have to our fruition

Don’t ruin this moment for me lol

Great to have money and spots available but don’t really see who we would sign to fill our roster. Sorenson seems a decent option but I hope someone else can become available

Yes. There is a lot of talent in the Highlands, also Lae the second largest city in PNG. The PNG population are rugby league mad.

Awesome news with Reynolds. Packer would obviously be great but it's only 1 more year we've gotta wait. Finding Brooks another team needs to be priority no.1 now. Once we move him on we can really start building a contender.

I think we can thank benji for this if he had accepted the deal they offered him I doubt josh would have been offered a contract by them
