I wouldn’t get in Mbye’s way if he wanted to leave but on the money he is on I very much doubt he’d leave on his own accord. He can cover most positions in the backline. I think we are stuck with him unless by another NRL team comes along and offers him something better than a utility position.
Packer would be easier to move on than Mbye and that would still take so doing.

I would stay with the present side,and with the money we still have for 2021 i would re'; negotiate with Mbye by paying 2022 contract money in 2021 on condition the contract ends next year. Why,- because if stays we are wasting 7 to 9 hundred thousand in 2022 that could buy us another strike player.With his and Packers money and 12 players off contract we should then have over 2 mil in the cap to be aggresive in recruitment,, The close to 1 mil we have free at the moment is not much use when the players we want are not off contract to 2022

Well he"s on 950,000 pe yr,Contract ends 2022,Two options ,1st option we have approx 1 mil still to spend on 2021 season.We agree to pay an extra $500,00 for 2021 witch leaves us with only $450.000 to pay in 2022,therebuy freeing up $500,00 in our cap for 2022.Mbye loses nothing we have an extra $500,000 to spend.We still have $500,000,enough for Laurie if released and maybe another 1 or 2.The players we need to buy are not off contract till 2022 and we must spend it, so win win.2nd option later.
