Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I don't think our backrow looks that bad now. McQueen, ET, Eisenhuth, Lawrence, Aloiai, Sue (at lock) and Marsters give us plenty of options. Someone else may kick on as well. We have bought Rochow and the young player from Newcastle.

I'm not really worried about our pack. I think ideally we'd have some more speed in the outside backs but our outside backs may be good enough and they will have their strengths. We won't have an undersized backline.

Our spine to me is the issue but they may go well.

I'd love to see us buy a fullback.

Moylan plays Fullback Earl…

Beat me to it Geo, a ball playing fullback is what we need, Tui could stay in the halves with Reynolds and Brooks could play reggies where he should have been a long time ago.

i'd love to see Moylan here. Spine:
1\. Moylan
6\. Lolohea
7\. Brooks
9\. Reynolds
14\. Benji
Liddle to play a full year in ISP, then replace Benji in 2019.

Two spots left.. does anyone think Idris might get one of the spots? Depending on his recovery/mindset..

Moylan plays Fullback Earl…

He would be great for us. The only concern is how much he costs.

wouldn't panthers pay half the money

I doubt it but if they did that would be perfect.

The Moylan discussions have been raging today on MMM. They are saying rival clubs are circling . Penrith GM has said it's a 50/50 call at this stage.

Liddle is a hooker - a better hooker than Reynolds.

Play him in ISP - then what, put him on the bench instead of Benji to replace Reynolds when he gets tired.

Don't think so. What a waste of one of our best talents to accommodate a dope.

Unbelievable comment from the Panthers CEO about their club captain who is 1 year into a 4 year deal .

I'm hearing Moylan will go to Manly, Blake Green to the Warriors.

God I hope not, Manly will have a quality spine.

1\. Turbo
6\. Moylan
7\. DCE

I doubt the pairing of Moylan and DCE would work well imo

Look I see Liddle's talent.
What I do not see is his durability at this stage.
He needs some game time in ISP in my opinion. Not the whole year; more so the 1st month or so at the start of the year.
Merely speculation anyhow,

If anything, this is how it should be:

1\. Moylan
6\. Reynolds
7\. Brooks
9\. Liddle
14\. Lolohea - can play anywhere from 1-7

Benji to play reggies, and be first to take someone's spot if they underperform or get injured….. keeps the players on there toes too

Moylan signed on for 700k a year before the salary cap rise . Maybe feels undervalued .

Going to have a really unhappy utility if that happens - he was promised first crack at full back.

Personally, totally against Moylan - I hope he stays a Panfer or is snapped up by someone else.

This guy has the same attitude as Moses imo and we know how that turned out. Cap is not the only reason the Panfers want to let him go.

The problem is he was unhappy he's been dropped as captain and got dropped to reggies at some point in the season, Edwards has all but taken Moylan spot and May looks to take he's spot at 6 too, and Penrith are admitting to being open to letting him go because of there cap… I doubt we'll see Moylan stay at Penrith for much longer just depends where he'll go and manly does make sense, wouldn't be surprised if Sharks were sniffing around too.
