Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Penrith are a smart team Dylan Edwards is already a better fullback than Moylan and Tyrone May an Australian schoolboy is gun and looks better with Cleary in the halves. The fact Moylan has fallen out with the coach, been injured, stripped of the captaincy, on 700k p.a. and reportedly has an attitude issue would deem him expendable. If they release him to the Tigers and use the money to upgrade Nathan Cleary big time it puts an end to Ivan poaching his son and puts Moylan back at fullback which is his only position. If he goes Tigers would be ideal but I don't think he's worth that money on form.

i'd love to see Moylan here. Spine:
1\. Moylan
6\. Lolohea
7\. Brooks
9\. Reynolds
14\. Benji
Liddle to play a full year in ISP, then replace Benji in 2019.

Liddle is a hooker - a better hooker than Reynolds.

Play him in ISP - then what, put him on the bench instead of Benji to replace Reynolds when he gets tired.

Don't think so. What a waste of one of our best talents to accommodate a dope.

If anything, this is how it should be:

1\. Moylan
6\. Reynolds
7\. Brooks
9\. Liddle
14\. Lolohea - can play anywhere from 1-7

Benji to play reggies, and be first to take someone's spot if they underperform or get injured….. keeps the players on there toes too

Going to have a really unhappy utility if that happens - he was promised first crack at full back.

Personally, totally against Moylan - I hope he stays a Panfer or is snapped up by someone else.

This guy has the same attitude as Moses imo and we know how that turned out. Cap is not the only reason the Panfers want to let him go.

We're talking about attitude here, so you're telling me if Tui doesn't get a crack at fullback he'll be unhappy which will show with his attitude.

TBH I'm not 100% with Moylan, I'd orefer to get a Josh Jackson signing if we had the cash. But if we were to get Moylan I'd welcome it.

But to say Tui won't be happy because he was promised a fullback spot is silly, no player is promised anything in terms of selection, Tui should be grateful he's in the squad and not playing on the wing for the Warriors reserve grade side anyways

Moylan signed on for 700k a year before the salary cap rise . Maybe feels undervalued .

Imagine how DCE and Taumalolo will feel a few more years into their 10 year contracts, lol.

Read the post please. Not Tui's attitude - Moylan's attitude.

I did not say Tui was promised the FB spot - The post said and I quote myself "he was promised **first crack** at full back". First crack does not mean he was promised the position.

I think you are a bit savage to say he should be grateful to be in the squad. He is one of the few creative players we have.

Personally I am grateful we have him in the squad.

Yeah I know what you said, but what I'm trying to say is if you're having a dig at Moylan's attitude but then saying Tui will be unhappy if he isn't starting fullback next year…... then wouldn't Tui's attitude be poor as well, my take is no matter where you play you play the best to your ability.

Yeah I agree about him playing well, he has been very creative but my point is that he shouldn't be upset over the fact that he doesn't start at fullback if he doesn't next year!

He didn't say he would be upset - I did.

Don't get stuck into him because of me.

I just hope Moylan doesn't upset the apple cart.

What about Josh Jackson? Have we signed him?

With James Graham now going to Saints, the Bulldogs won't need to shed anyone else, so no.

So Woods won't get the backflip he's been hoping for?

I guess not. Smart move by Canterbury signing Woods and shedding Graham, imo. Woods is younger, can play big minutes, is far less injury prone and his game can still improve - they will get much more mileage out of him. With Graham at 32 his best days are behind him, he peaked a few years ago and hasn't been anywhere near the same player since the 2014 GF. The Bulldogs have got all they are going to get out of him I reckon. They needed the change, as do we.

I'm not sure it was the best laid plan. I reckon they were hoping to keep both. No lost sleep here though, I reckon we've done alright.
