I’ll trust whatever Maguire decides but I must say I’d be disappointed if momirovski kept either Leilua or Roberts out of the team. We have lacked strike for years and these two (at their best) are as punishing as any back in the game. I’ll go further and say if they are our centres for most of the season we are playing finals football.

There would have to be a marked improvement in Leilua’s game, he was next to useless last year. I’d happily select either Momo or Talau in his place right now.

I don't rate Momo too highly but he is much better than Talau. I'd be surprised if Talau remains in FG.
BJ is better than both of them. By a mile.

Talau is young and I think he is showing signs of being a quality player. Momo is pretty good as well. BJ is much better than both of them and so is Roberts. The thing is Talau and Momo are probably both much more likely to not do something stupid to derail our season.

It’s for that reason I think we need to keep Momo. He’d definitely see First grade even if it wasn’t from round 1.

Exactly. We have two Rolls Royces for centres but they are unreliable and high maintenance. If somehow they fire it's going to be great. The odds on them both firing consistently over the course of the season is really low.

Momo is a like Hyundai Getz. It'll do the job and it'll keep going.

Rolls Royces ...now I've heard it all lol if we Gasnier and Rogers now they were the Rolls Royces of centres ...they never broke down

You mean Mark Gasnier ?

I get what you are saying though but in this competition we have two very good strike centres. I'm not comparing BJ and Roberts to Reg Gasnier and Rogers.

More like 1st off the shelf Ford's ...you wait until the 3rd series until they have ironed out all the problems from the 1st and 2nd series .....EA's , Territory's ,etc

If in fact we do get momirovski, yous should make a play for meaney. He won't have a first grade spot in our squad soon enough.
Yous would get him pretty cheap, is quick and has looked good at fullback. Dean pay shouldn't of changed him to the wing. Looked like he was starting to find his feet before he was moved to the wing.

Agreed, I wouldn’t say no to Meaney, lots of upside I reckon.

No thanks. Can barely make that Bulldogs side and they were one off the spoon. Keep momirovski and keep on trying for Laurie

Agreed, why would you go after someone who barely gets into first grade at a weak club.It is those sort of signings that will never improve our position on the competition table

But everyone could see he had a bucket load of talent and speed to make it in first grade except Jason Taylor

It wasn't Jason Taylor's position to let him go
Was it ?
Other people would have had a say in that

I'm not saying let's get Meaney
But with more speed he could come in handy
He could be another Mathew Duffty but with slightly less speed at 34.3km hour
7.4% better tackling efficiency then David Nofoaluma
Back up goal kicker

Nothing wrong with him as a cheap depth signing to provide cover for fullback if we don’t get Laurie this year.

Would be good to have someone capable of coming in if Mbye gets injuried or the dropsies this year.

I remember this place around then . The amount of dudes going bananas cause rankin was in the side was insane . It was one of the few times the mob was right and the coach was a nuffie . I often wonder what Korobite did to pee off Potter . It can’t have been just form . He was clearly the best winger in the club at the time .

Would love to see another Tuiaki in our team, he is my favorite player of all time

If he was around these days with the fascination over speed, most people here would say he’s not fast enough.

Tabuai-Fidow, JAC, Papenhuyzen bring a new dimension to an attack. This is a commodity WTs' fans have been starved of for years. The young inidigenous winger training. with the WTs immediately raises interest for this reason.

At the moment the club is desperate for a goal kicking fullback and Meaney fills that requirement.

I don't think we do ourselves any favors discussing other teams like the bulldogs and how they will go this season.
Personally rather concentrate on us.

We need 3 more players to complete our Roster.

Are we in a position to re-sign nofoluma or are we going to let him walk for more $ most likely to the eels?

We really don't have many options at fullback and we are hoping that Mybe improves from what he did last season otherwise he becomes the most expensive utility on the bench with 3 forwards.

Nil expectations in 2021 other than to finish better than 11th.
It's in 2022/23 that we should be playing consistent finals football. Retain inexperienced players that are performing by also having some cap space.

I was hoping we would get Meaney from knights originally, always carved nsw cup but was always going to be behind ponga. Fast forward to today and don’t think he’s turned out to be the player i thought he’d be but low risk value signing, still young and could end up the goods

Only downside is he looks like Mitch moses

Never understood the fascination with Meaney. He’s now been at two clubs who were wooden spoon contenders and has never consistently made those sides. Yet he’s the missing link to make us a top 8 side?

Don’t think there is people saying he will be our saviour , however cheap contract, low risk in a position we have no depth in..

100%,Fitzgibbon has me intrigued.

Seems to have the X factor we have been desperate for.Has the speed, the athletic build and personality to follow in JAC’s foot steps.

Up to him now to knuckle down and grow his game and work on becoming a complete player if he gains a contract with us.
