Souths forum reporting they’ve offered Mansour 2 years, 2nd in their favour.

I mentioned a while ago that this option would be great for WT, as long as Laurie comes as part of the package....

Im not certain Laurie needs to be part of the " deal" tbh..at 83kgs,.Im uncertain hes gonna be ready for NRL in 2021,and just like Stefano last season, it wont do any harm to have someone else paying for him in the coming season knowing hes ours from 2022.
Play Mansour on his merits alone ...and if we miss out on him,it aint the end of the world by any means.

The problem with not getting Laurie is we only have Mbye who can play fullback. If he gets injured we’re completely screwed.

We offered two years and got rejected, interested to see what happens. A bigger club like Souths has a lot more appeal than us

Unfortunately it Douhi again....next question is who plays 6.
Despite all the applause on our recruitment for next season, our spine is both unproven and lacking backup options. It will hurt us big time in 2021 one way or another

If he’s playing well at 6 it will destabilise the team to move him back to 1. We need to get Laurie or another fullback before round 1. Without a backup we’re setting ourselves up for failure.

Hence why 2022 is the year where we could make the finals. Recruitment has improved alot but still needs to sought out some positions. Packer and Mbye gone will help.

It has nothing to do with being 'bigger'...he would be looking at it in terms of what will happen in year 3 of a deal.

Penrith have told him Stains will start...thus they are not an option long term.

We have AJ, Talau, Hoffman who will all be FG ready (soon, hopefully) but certainly by year 3.

Souths have a vet team who will compete for the comp the next few years and have just lost a few of their best young prospects. I.e. there is a fairly defined roll for a vet winger a few years there.

Yeah I understand where you are coming from however he is on a development contract at Panthers so can’t play until round 16. Would prefer him learning the tigers way if we can get him early and we also need depth at FB. He has NRL experience and I reckon he would see a fair bit of it with WT in 2021.

I'm a bulldogs fan.
If in fact we do get momirovski, yous should make a play for meaney. He won't have a first grade spot in our squad soon enough.
Yous would get him pretty cheap, is quick and has looked good at fullback. Dean pay shouldn't of changed him to the wing. Looked like he was starting to find his feet before he was moved to the wing.

Agreed, I wouldn’t say no to Meaney, lots of upside I reckon.

No thanks. Can barely make that Bulldogs side and they were one off the spoon. Keep momirovski and keep on trying for Laurie

Agreed, why would you go after someone who barely gets into first grade at a weak club.It is those sort of signings that will never improve our position on the competition table

Imagine if Melbourne said that about JAC

If we didnt have that moron JT coaching at the time i doubt he would have been playing reggies and all to keep Rankin in first grade

Taylor was completely obsessed with Rankin's pre-season training and kept him in first grade all season.

Taylor was an absolute idiot

Taylor and I. Clearly defiantly kept us out of finals contention and pushed us back a couple of years with their decision in signing and letting players go

Why? When there’s a player we’re rumoured to be interested in often times those forums have pretty good info. There’s been no real info on here for ages.

Dunno why they haven’t signed Gebbie yet he can play fullback as a replacement if mbye goes down for a long period

Souths aren’t offering three years. I’d say at both clubs Mansour has the same shot of playing wing at both clubs, probably a better chance of playing more first grade with us. They’ve got Johnston and Paulo who’ve done well.

My point is I wonder if he will accept two years at Souths after rejecting it with us because they’re a much bigger chance of a premiership and success.

Or dragons. Anyone but us really ?

It’s not ideal for any team to have him this late into the pre-season, usually doesn’t work well this late. His missed camp and not been training with panthers.

If I’m running a club I’d get together and leave him at panthers.
