Thing is if we sign Naden for dirt cheap, even if he struggled we can still sign another better winger. Don't see us signing another good dollar winger though.

Naden's defensive stats were terrible last year...even in a side as dominant as theirs, he was the weak link with his D reads.

I hope we don't get him.

His defence is definately a concern as are his off field issues.He would need a strong person looking after him here

I’m not completely sold on Naden, I think his deficiencies were hidden in a red hot Penrith team last year

That was when he played at centre. He looked fine on the wing and that's where we should play him if we sign him

That would be absurd. Literally half their cap on a handful of outside backs. Zero depth, average pack, average halves, and a whole lot of mercenaries on 700k+

Honestly they have recruited well.
The part that will fail them is Trent Barrett. He is another Jason Taylor although with people skills. But same sort of 1dimension planning that Siebold did at the Broncos

Their in meltdown over at the kennel and most of their anger is aimed at their new recruits Allan, Flanagan and Hetherington. There’s even a sack Trent Barrett thread lol.

If he thought things were tough at Manly he will need to develop coat of armour to survive at the Bulldogs till all his class imports arrive.

I spoke to Shawn Blore at The Ambush event yesterday, he said he's heard Barrett is a really good coach.

Yeah good point actually, I was paraphrasing Blore and I've probably massaged the inference of what he said, because I was thinking of Blore as a Tigers player.

If I think about it, he said something like: "I know hey coz Barrett's a mad coach". That's not a joke, that's my recollection of what he said verbatim. I had just made the comment about Bulldogs being a long way from a competitive side.

Talk of Michael Morgan might have to get medically retired might be a bit more desperate to get Brooks up there now. I don’t know how keen we’d be to shift him this season even if we do get Hastings he’s no certainty to be any better than Brooks.
