I really like Gildart as a signing. Watching the SL over here in London, if he can keep his body right, he will go alright. He is tough, good defender and has good attacking fair plus guys coming from Wigan have a great winning mentality. Hoping this comes off, think Jarrod Crocker minus the goal kicking.

That is your opinion but i am assuming you have never seen him play apart from a 2min clip on youtube. Croker is a decent player who has been very unlucky to not have played SOO. Not playing great this year, I agree, but not a terrible player. Write Gildart off at your own peril.

I have watched both play on many occasions(obviously Croker more) and have seen nothing notable from either.Will be happy to see Gildart prove me wrong

No rush to upgrade him now as he can play first grade. If their are spots available closer to the deadline then I think he will be a priority.

The club has been trying to get Issako for the best part of 3-4 Months. Was originally meant to be a swap deal with Walters in the early rounds of the year. He's been told he's free to leave but Broncos keep moving the goal posts when a deal seems close to be done.
But as many have pointed out you don't send your 3 main recruiting agents on a flight for a simple coffee.
TPJ is an interesting one, few murmurs around that he & Walters (Coach) don't see eye to eye & Broncos will unwillingly release him to free up money & ease tensions in the playing group but he's apparently not the only one on the nose with Walters.
I'd be fairly confident in getting Issako for this season.

Knowing this club, I bet they flew to Brisbane today and signed Isaako but are now all sitting around trying to work out why he spells his name M-i-l-f-o-r-d.

It’s okay we can always nab Benji as a backup

They signed him as well thinking he was Cooper Cronk coming out of retirement.

I think I’d still take Cronk, looks fit enough. Nowhere to hide in our D line though.

We would try and sign him though and give the contract to Anasta to sign instead

TPJ is a bit more of a gamble, he does have the one thing we really lack which is impact. I think that has been one of our biggest problems this season, though Mikaele has been showing signs of life in that area lately. The teams doing well have forwards that can cause disruption to the defensive line and then get a quick play the ball. We are lacking in that area so can see the attraction that TPJ has to some people.

Agree Mikaele is on the improve. I’d rather gamble on our young brigade than what I assume would be a guy on top dollar.

Tuilagi seems to have that bit of impact about him, but it is an area we are very light in.

To me with TPJ it would all come down to the one aspect I have no access to and it would be the conversations during negotiations. Its whether he has the traits to overcome is inconsistencies, what he brings to the team in other areas, is he the type of personality that fits the team and environment we are trying to create and foster. Those answer can only be found by getting to know the guy as it is undeniable that he has talent. Its whether that talent can be harnessed

I think with us flying up there it must be very close, recruitment changed a lot last year with signings mostly done over zoom calls. Though I think the final stages would now be done face to face I think a lot of the early meetings would be virtual.
