I would prefer Daniel Tupou to Isaako...but no one seem to like him..

Premiership and Origin class winger off contract

Why not both

Because there is only room price wise on the roster for 1..

Weren’t we close to signing or interested a few years ago? Did he knock us back or what

Seyfarth also playing himself into a new deal, early discussions for a 2 year extension. Madge is a big fan of this kid & his efforts over the last 2 weeks shows why.

I like him too. Big motor and mobile. He gets smashed regularly but just keeps coming.

Don't think Tupou was truely interested in leaving the Rorters back then and got a payrise out of it..

This time may be different..

I have no idea why Isakko. We have a fullback and Daine is better as fullback then wing. Isakko isn't going to perform going from FB to wing unless he really wants to play wing. I like the idea of Daniel Tupou, Class winger. The problem playing overs for the wingers is your team does not develop (think Tukali, Korobete, etc).

TPJ makes sense. TPJ links up with Joe O, open up the cheque book.

In fact the more I think about it. Souths, Brisbane and Penrith are good pipelines for us. All three should be ripe for Salary cap pickings. They give us class players who lift us.
Melbourne IMHO is a bad fit, often they go from a very structured team to unstructured and that usually does not work well. The more I think about it I cannot recall a single Melbourne player who has lifted their game since leaving Melbourne.

TPJ and Joe O link up but isaako doesn't?
all played together

Isaako will be wing, no two ways about it, will be a fill in at fullback if laurie goes down or if a half goes down and laurie has to move into the halves

The backs seem to head off to Union-Koro, Vulu,, Chambers

With Pangai on about 700k and Isakko on almost 500k i'd be curious how much we'd be prepared to pay for each.

I'd say max 400k and 550k respectively

or the Dogs. Mainly saying I have never seen Melbourne players perform better outside of Melbourne.
Probably the closest is Aiden Tollman, he did alright at the dogs for awhile. Oh yea, Cooper Cronk who did at least as well at Easts. Israel Filau, well same kind of performance. Cronk and Israel are superstars.
But I only see their recruits drop/dim a little outside their system. Hoffman, Blair, Dallas Johnson, Curtis Scott, etc never set the world on fire after leaving Melbourne.

Which is why I would think long and hard about Dale Finucane. Madge wont be able to get better performance out of him then Bellamy. We will make him an offer on his current stats and maybe a little more to get him. Then we will find he will dip. I would rather go Brisbane or Panthers as I believe Madge can improve those players as we have seen with Joe O.

Tohu Harris is another one

Seyfarth was one of the most criticised players on this forum. Ironic really as he is one of the players who eptomizes what a Balmain and Wests player should be about; toughness, fitness, never say die spirit. Well done young fellow.

I like Isakko, he is very quick and elusive, plus a good goalkicker and can stand in for Laurie if unable to play.
He is young and still learning and has that x factor that we are missing. Exactly what we need !

Thing is Isakko isn't all that quick. He's probably a bit faster than our current backs, but still not super fast.

The fact that Pasco, Madge and Hartigan came back to Brisbane on a Wednesday before a Friday game says a lot. TPJ is a unit when he is switched on. Might be a Madge project. He was in contention for NSW before Tonga I think. Not suprising he lost his way again last year. I have always like Isaako. He seems to have picked up his confidence again. At his best, he is a great outside back who can kick goals. Has x factor as others have said

Doesn’t matter what the forum thinks. Is the club interested? If not, it doesn’t matter.

I admire the determination to sign both players. I don't agree with all the publicity. It's on 7 News this morning as a raid We should have asked the Army if we can use the SAS or the US Army for Delta Force and Chuck Norris. This has the potential for an own goal if the mission is unsuccessful.

The media have made a massive story out of it hoping it doesn’t happen so they can gleefully put the slipper in again.

They just happened to get spotted on the plane and the journalists did their digging. It's a shame because if it's a first meeting it's probably a good chance of a discussion and the players saying they'll think about it but nothing comes of it

Of course as you said the media will go bananas if we don't sign them.

To be honest if we are flying up days after being up their for magic round then I think discussion are further along than a first meeting. Madge didn't fly back to Sydney until Sunday so flew back up 3 days later.

That's a good point mate. Hopefully there's genuine interest from them

I think Isaako is keen but it is more if the Broncos are willing to let him go.

Hopefully we can get something done with them. Isaako would be a major get for us if we could get him this year to play wing.

Not worried about his height? wiki has him at 5'11.

Not saying you need to be Saab height but somewhere in between would be nice.

Nothing wrong with being 5'11''

Agreed. Personally I think its the best of all heights.

But for wingers, in NRL in 2021, is being under 6 foot a problem? Maybe not. dunno.

I'm 5'11'' lol

Same

Same

Superior 5'11 crew checking in

Under 5'11 stay out.

Jokes, I just round it up to that cos it sounds cooler. Closer to 5'10.

Don't care though.
Can bench like 160.

I'm actually 5'11'' and 1/2, always wanted to be 6' but fell half an inch short. lol
Brah try bejng 5’9 it’s pathetic
