I think we should judge his defence coaching based on his time as head coach...

but Canberra rejected it, looks like it has legs now

Surely the only way we’d even entertain that is if the Raiders took Brooks at full freight and even then it still doesn’t really work overly well in our favour. We are getting Hastings next year regardless and he was going to compete for a halves spot, I’d be more inclined to have Hastings at 7 and Brooks at 6 at this stage.

Leave him over there and start fresh next year.

But on the other hand he comes and gets to know the team structure, p;lay calls, and settles in before the off season and hits the ground running in preseason.. There is merit in both ways but I would like him here this year to try a few positions to see where he fits in better. 13, 6 or 7.

Yeah agreed. If the option presents itself get him over early for sure. If it has legs and moves quick, he could still play half the season. Good for the 14 role
