I think his value to us is between 600 and 850

He won't watch a team mate get belted late and idly stand by, unlike our current players. He has the attitude we lack, so I think we should go after him hard.

If Teddy had stayed I wouldn't be as keen, but now we will have to re-jig our whole attack, so we might as well start from scratch with a few entertaining maniacs!

I've never liked him, but he is exactly what we need: A running 5/8 with plenty of passion.

If we could get Cronk for 2 years it would be a good draw card for other quality signings.

There wouldn't be pressure to win a grand final but really just turn the teams culture and quality around.

If we could pick him up for 1.1m it would be worth it.

Oh well Cronk does love a challenge and there wouldn't be a bigger challenge in Rugby League than to try and turn our culture around so you never know, but I can't help feeling that he will actually retire.

Personally I'd go for a few solid signings now then pick the eyes out of the juniors of other clubs. There are lots of footballers like Dylan Edwards who are ready for FG and you can make enquiries at their current club, esp now the salary cap is set for 2018, pick up good young kids who would have a clearer path to FG at Tigers because the existing club is already stocked.

I agree. Going for the quick fix would be wrong. We need a solid platform.

That's a good question, jirskyr. Going to be offloading a few I imagine - Packer and Milne already touted to be coming here, but I think they will need to shed a few more yet, as they wouldn't be on huge coin. Nightingale perhaps? He'd be a good pick up for us I reckon, but he's been with Saints forever and is one of their favourites, so they might try and offload others first. Will be interesting to see who.

Currently we have 12 players signed for next year out of the 30 we need (although some of the depth players might be signed and we just don't know given their NSW cup or Under 20s)

So we need 7 starting players still
FB, C, W, FE, P, H, P

We need 1 more bench prop

And most of our 2nd 13outside the bench which makes up 30.

With the starting 7 spots I'd try and fill them this way - we need 1 goal kicker in their
FB - Jordon Kahu (need a GK if Reynolds is 5/8)
W - Taane Milne/ Daniel Tupou
C - Blake Ferguson
FE - Josh Reynolds (brings attitude the reason you hate him is the reason you want him)
P - Rus Packer (hate him as a person but not sure their is other props)
H- Matt Mcilwrick (re-sign)
P - Ben Matulino

Bench Prop - Ava Seumanufagai (Re-sign)

However we need better depth in the spine/backs especially so I would be looking to add Connor Watson and Tyrone May to our squad too and then fill the depth with what we have in NSW cup already

This would mean letting go
- Ballin, Grant, Naquaiama and prob either Hunt or Rankin but ok with both

Tatola, Felise, Sironen & Masters not being mentioned in any rotation for next year. Cleary will need to make a decision on whether they have ability or potential.

Filling the roster because we have cap space will be an even more massive mistake than where we are at now...

I am hoping and praying that gone are the days of signing other Clubs rejects are what make Wests Tigers the best..

Ah yes Dugan, I'd forgotten about him! Shedding him along with Packer and perhaps Milne will cover the cost of Widdop's renewed offer for sure. By all accounts we arent interested in him though Ku5tom - and that's probably a good thing.

Edwards will be a gun, trust me on this one haha.

Earl is training the house down, I believe he is also training with the storm. Owns a gym and has maintained his body shape. Big and speedy winger, not on much. Also has a point to prove. He will be a good player.

Cronk can have 1.1-.12 mil. Brooks played 5/8 all of juniors, only moved to halfback once Moses came into the picture. He also represented NSW 20's at 5/8 and did a good job.

I think they would be great for us IMO.

Pretty harsh… He's been good all season and easily our second best prop.
