From what I saw of Maumalo in his first game with us, I wasn’t impressed….Plodder…..at least DWZ runs with vigour…..

We conceded 66 points. Doesn't matter how hard it looks they're running he makes big metres all the time, he's known to be a metre eater

What did you think of watching a real winger in action last night when Olam after picking up the loose ball his first thought was to get it to JAC? This is the problem with Maguire. First thought is hitting it up rather than finishing from anywhere on the field.

Trust me mate I'd rather have JAC than Maumalo but we needed a winger and he was the best on the market. I doubt he's on big coin so if we could sign a gun winger he could take a back seat.

We need to give him a few games as we were completed dominated v storm and he should of had a try except the bunker hate us. I think he is an upgrade on what we have and considering we cannot attract any type of high profile player this is the best result.

We missed JAC, the Bulldogs got him. Coates was on the move but we end up with Maumalo.

People need to seperate The Poms mail on what is going on and the reality that regardless of a good offer some players have no real interest in joining us

Pretty dumb people equating info on where we are negotiation wise with a a supposed success rate of signing those players.

I'm thinking he is not in the inner circle, but he does seem a bit closer to someone in the club than most of us?

Even those in the inner circle don't know what the player will do.

Just because we offer a deal and they relay the details on to us that does not mean the player will agree

Lower your expectations on negotiation updates or you'll constantly be disappointed

Lower expectations on making finals

My only info lately is the Harley Smith shields talk but that sounds very positive. And I'll tell you how that unfolded because i guess it gives some insight into how convoluted these things are. Sebastian Kris met with WT because he was interested in our indigenous pathways thing and his deal was up. Raiders talked him out of it and offered him a deal which he was happy with because he's a junior but he told HSS there were opportunities at WT for outside backs and so the talks began. Obviously we're actively pursuing outside backs.....gotta be a good thing, right?
