Youd think if her performs ok he would be in line for an nrl contract next year. Given we already have Talau, Douehi, Kepoa, Hoffman, Nofa, Maumalo, Gildart in the outside backs and Mbye i guess then limited spots left
Have heard Hoffman may move on as he feels he was due an op before Pagua based on convos with coach.
thanks mate. has there been much said about William Kei? been plenty of talk around him for years but he hasn't done anything in Flegg or Cup to warrant that chatter imo
The kid to keep an eye on is Jordan Hill. Winger in Flegg. Tall, super fast indigenous kid. Unfortunately did his ACL against the dogs earlier in the year.
Comes from a great family and loves the club. Not signed beyond this year, but seems a formality.
Recovery is ahead of schedule and should be right for pre-season. Can still play flegg next year.
EDIT: Also should mention he's a local Holy Cross boy.
How come all of our best young players are doing their ACLs? Good god.
I think it's pretty common now. ACL's are part of the game. Any player who has a turn of pace and move laterally quite well are going to be at risk.
I know of two kids, both gifted athletes at 14 years of age who have just done ACLs. Never heard of this happening when I was growing up but kids are just bigger and heavier now which must be a contributing factor.
Yeah, i have had a few kids I have coached over the years do them. It was tough being in the area I worked most didn't have private health insurance so ended up on a waiting list for surgery.
By the time the public hospital system gets around to them +recovery time its virtually career ending...and cant expect the club to pick up the tab for every kid that gets injured..
