Gould = poor mans Timmy Sheens

I disagree with that,i would much rather have Gould than Sheens here.

I'm happy to take Sheens. Gould is good don't get me wrong but he is also softer than Tim and brings a lot of troubled players into a roster. He falls for the sob stories. Tim has a harder edge.

Gus has to many detracters and controversity surrounding him now after his journyman trip around clubs, not to mention still working for 9. Remember he told Barrett not to touch the dogs because they are a basket case. Few more $ in Gus's pocket

Gould going to the dogs is the best signing they have made in years. At least he will try to get them out of the hole they have been digging deeper every year.He will probably attempt to build from the juniors up like we are and Penrith have done

Bulldogs juniors nowhere near as good as Penrith or even ours.

We have already signed some of the dogs best juniors and are developing them now,Gould will be doing his best to keep the future ones and poach from other clubs just like we are

Is he walking out on the Warriors already?

Covid related

Don't see how

He can't be over there running their pathways and being hands on. Simple

Was his role pathways with them?

yes like Sheens is with

Yeah I think that is just an excuse to head to the Dogs.

no I don't think he can get over to nz for pathways stuff and NZ are like well what are we paying him for

Travel was open between NZ and Aust for a couple of months and will hopefully reopening after current situation eases.. The wording of the NZ statement sounds like they would have kept him.

He works here otherwise as well, so the Covid travel restrictions and quarantine most likely make it unworkable for the foreseeable future.

I was thinking the opposite, the Broncos upgraded Willison as there was interest from 4 Clubs so that makes 31 contracted players, so they need to shed 1, there has been no announcement from the dogs,(the cool off period expired yesterday),the Dragons the 3rd club interested have increased their offer for Finucane, so the Tigers may pull a Bradbury in landing him.

I have found this on Xavier Willison.
Apparently he is a development player but has not been listed all year as one.

Article from December 5th 2020.

Broncos tie down giant prop

The Broncos have locked up long-term prospect Xavier Willison to a three-year contract.

Willison, 18, is a 104kg prop who moved to the Gold Coast to attend famed talent factory Palm Beach Currumbin High School on a scholarship.

He has played for South East Queensland and made a number of representative sides in his native New Zealand.

The Hamilton-born youngster will be on a development contract for the next two years before moving into the Broncos’ top 30 squad in 2023

No enough of them but they all signed with West’s and Manly. Manly the smartest club in the NRL recruiting kids form other districts.

With Maguire's email, personal assistants (TT and TW), text and social media overwhelmed with interest from players wanting to be tutored by him is it a surprise?

There seems only few of you, that disagree with reality?

Could we possibly refresh the thread now and update the original post of this thread so we don’t have to be reminded of the dud players the club signed Packer,Milne,McQueen and didn’t sign Widdop,Johnson,Vete etc, and put up a fresh list of players that we won’t sign Finucane,Tpj etc

It’s important to have that page there as a warning to future generations.
