Centres ,centres ,centres living on hope the pommy is a champion

Hugh, I liked the look of him, before he had a run of injuries. he was quick and had a good in and away. I'm not sure about his body now, and the NRL is another beast.

Laurie
Nofa/ Roberts
Talau / Hoffman
Kepoa/Gildart
Maumalo
Douehi / Madden
Hastings/ Brooks
Mikele
Blore
Luch
Stefano
Liddle
Twal

Joffa / Simpkins
Tamou/Musgrove
Tuilagi/Garner
Simpkin

We need another 1-2 props, a top class hooker but only if we can get a top class one and a backrower. What we need is to add some experience to the squad for all of those.

Perhaps Hodgson from Canberra, Curtis Sironen and a cheap Woods.

A backup fullback - preferably one with experience but mayby a guy closer to the end of his career who can also play wing as backup.

Then we find a strike centre if we can find one

**Storm legend names intriguing destination for Eels skipper**

Melbourne Storm icon Cameron Smith has named the Wests Tigers as the team which should make a play for the reportedly attainable Parramatta Eels captain Clint Gutherson.

Smith is of the belief Gutherson could attract big money, especially from a team such as the Tigers who are in need of a major leadership presence

Then we definitely shouldn’t go for Gutho.

Depends how much Gutho is asking - one thing he does particularly well, which Laurie struggles with is support play - we've hardly ever got someone in a position to take an offload and make something of it. It also opens up another dimension to the WT spine, as I think Laurie would make a good 6 - I think Doueihi is ok there, but his ball service can be lacking robbing our outside backs of opportunity. If we're talking 1 million, no thanks, but if it's around the 800k mark, I think it's worth considering.

The question is, where do the WT rate Gutho on their value scale?

What do you do with Laurie?

Play him at 6.

Gutho as a centre would be good

No way in the world - Fittler played him in the centres and look how that turned out.

Thanks mate hope he is our next schofield

1 Laurie
2 Nofo - hopefully we can trade him for some one else.
3 Harley Smith-Shields
4 Lomax
5 Maumalo

Has anyone noticed that with the changes to the rules this season the game has evolved and the traditional positions are evolving with it. The lock is a good example, with the smaller, more agile locks that can use the ball providing value. Even 2 hookers playing at the same time at certain stages of the game (like the Storm). Bellamy is smart - he throws Grant, Smith, Paps and Hynes all out there at the same time which gives him many attacking options when he needs it (and they all defend well enough).
My point is that we are too 1-dimensional with Brooks invariably first receiver and our only player digging into the line and offloading. Also our main kicker - so AD needs to step up as well as hopefully a hooker, lock or fullback could add more options and make us less predictable - harder to defend.

The lock forward needs a pass. Cam Murray, Radley are the prototype players fast, use the ball and are defensive animals. Yeo is another that excels. Karl Lawton is a player from the Eagles that’s underrated and can play the role well.

Funny that the roosters / Souths already had Murray and Radley in the 13 for a couple of years before the rule changes. Penrith used to play Fisher Harris at lock and Yeo backrow but the change to the rules enabled them to play a smaller prop and a ball playing lock. Lawton would be a good get.

@Trusted_Insider

Would be good to get some movement in that Nofo/Cotric swap.

Nofo and Talau are weak links.

Lomax would be more likely I reckon. Talau is hit and miss, I'd be happy to give him more of a chance.

Dragons are a shitshow at the moment.

If you go for gutho it will have to be minimum 850-900k to pry him away, at that cost he has to play fb, which means Laurie to 6 and Douehi to centre’s, lots of changes to fit him in

The way the Eels are going I think they are about to explode and might not cost as much as we all think for Gutho.. I personally think Brad Arther is gone after this season collapse with the squad they have.. They need a player turnover

Interestingly just watching a thing with Gutho on Fox. His dad is a hughe Tigers supporter and he was a tiger supporter as a kid

Quite a few of my mates are also 10 year + members. I often share info on Whatsapp that comes from a few on the forum.

Anytime the conversation comes up about the forum and why they don’t get on here the answer is consistent.

“Every time I visit I get fed up with all the negativity”

I am not trying to be harsh but I honestly think a large number of people on here need professional help to get their mindset right.

Wait, are you talking about us or the players who need professional help?

It’s the same in business. Negative people tend to leave negative feedback online. People with positive feedback often won’t comment.

I for one appreciate any news or info. Please keep it up because the info is what brought me here in the first place 👍🏻

I rate Laurie. He’s young but he will be better than Gutherson for 1/3 of the cost. If we target Eels players they should be looking at Paulo, Niakoure, Penisini. Eels have a good overall squad but they lack game breakers.
