The way the Eels are going I think they are about to explode and might not cost as much as we all think for Gutho.. I personally think Brad Arther is gone after this season collapse with the squad they have.. They need a player turnover

Interestingly just watching a thing with Gutho on Fox. His dad is a hughe Tigers supporter and he was a tiger supporter as a kid

Is manu a fullback tho, hate to pay him full back money to end up the centre would be another Mbye. I'd direct my marquee money somewhere else.

Gus’s take on Parra. Completely agree with him, 80% of a good team comes via development. Over recruitment won’t buy you a premiership.

Gould says Parramatta's woes stem from being a 'manufactured' team.

Interesting - because that seems to be the path the Bulldogs have decided to take for next season.

In fairness to Gus - 99% of that has occurred before he signed with Bulldogs. They may start recruiting young, e.g. signing up Tuifua. Bulldogs have historically always been successful when blooding groups of their own juniors/debutants.

I think Gutho is a decent player but i dont think he's going to fix our problems, if your going to splash out on a player which is what we'd have to do to land them Gutho doesnt rate very highly on that list. Im pretty happy with Laurie can he improve yes will he improve i hope so, Gutho is at his ceiling now Laurie is no where near it, he has room to grow.

I’d prefer TT over Gutho, at least he’s not a knob and a show pony.

He makes a lot of sense on that interview and good to hear he dropped a few names in the current squad who he's obviously keen to keep long term and build the squad around.

The focus is clearly on developing youth so I'm very interested to hear who may pick up development contracts for next season and whether we can keep the bulk of this years' Jersey Flegg squad together.
