For those wanting a Friday pick me up I present Herman Tofaeono. The Qld-U18 prop we've signed from Keebra.
Here's some of his highlights playing for Keebra. Looks like a raging bull with those barnstorming runs.
I watched the first half of Keebra v Palm Beach Currumbin yesterday and sure enough in his first two touches he made a 40m bust and a 30m bust

Don't know if we can embed Insta video like we can YT??
He also seems to have a bit of swagger. He's been selling his own 'Herman Hustle' merch for a few years now.
Looks to be quite the pickup, and his defence was also good. Hustled in cover defence well.
Mavoni who?
Gee Wiz he is a giant for a under 18 player. Is this 100% locked in as we would not expect our club to announce this to fans.. Hope so
Looks good against boys half his size .. but you have to get in the picture with these young guys you never know what you might get.
I agree; always a challenge with young forwards is how much of their dominance is size/age-dependent. They are all monsters compared to their age group, but grown seasoned footballers are something altogether different.
When I was 15 the U16 team ahead of me at school had some really big kids and they were favourites to win the GF. One of the kids was Andrew Lomu who ended up playing about 90 matches for Roosters, Sharks and Raiders. He was already about adult size as a 16 year-old and was a schoolboy weapon because he was also fast.
However they came up against Marcellin Randwick in the Grand Final and Randwick had this kid who was an absolute axe. Apparently he was in the State Reps (Combined Catholic Schools), and I never did find out his name, but the kid was a weapon in defence. And we sent up our big boys and this kid from Randwick chopped them all in half repeatedly inside 15 minutes. I'll never forget it, I've never seen such a group of big strong boys dominated by one shoulder. Randwick ended up winning that GF.
Lomu ended up making it in firsts, also one kid Nelson Lomi played a few games for the Roosters, the rest of them did not make it to firsts. It was so illustrative of what can happen when a big kid who dominates his age group meets someone who is strong and can tackle.
