Personally i want Brooks gone but it looks like we will have to lineup with:
7 Hastings
6 Brooks

Just tell brooks to run the ball and leave the organising and kicking to hastings

My take is Hastings plays a little wider of the ruck compared to Brooks. That is what he appears to be doing the SL. Brooks plays a little closer to the ruck. Brooks get the 7 and Hastings the 6.

In stating all of that I think Hastings will be the organizing player.

I remember watching Wally Lewis play against the Tigers at Leichardt. He played 6 and just dominated the game and I swear he was old, bald, walking and puffing ciggies at any break in the game. He was some player.

You can be a dominant organizing half playing at 6. I'm hopeful Hastings can play that role for us.

He's contracted until the end of 2027, and just turned 28, so he'll be 34 in his last season. I'd definitely think about picking up his salary if it was subsidised by the cowboys.

Maybe we should sign Rapana, he’s been pretty good the last couple weeks and would fill the experience and can cover back 5 which isn’t exactly our strong suit. Doesn’t look like he will re sign with raiders.

I actually don't mind him, but I don't think he is a half. I think he could possibly be effective as a ball playing lock or second row. He has a good pass and defends well. He is also tough and competitive. He might need to bulk up a bit, but he is pretty solid as it is.

This Thompson Rumour won't go away.
Apparently we might consider lifting our offer for him and if reports are correct that Dog would pay 200k I think we should give it a go as we have plenty of money.
Dogs in salary cap mess already and even Gus said they only have 1 spot free for next year for a min wage guy. How do the powers at that club justify going all out for TPJ and leaving them in this situation already.

He’s off-contract end of this year!… But rumoured to be staying with Canberra.

Nothing official yet though, he’s a free agent for 2022.

The NRL’s integrity unit is investigating Canterbury player Lachlan Lewis over a “serious matter”.

Channel 9 journalist Danny Weidler broke the news on Twitter on Friday afternoon.

The Bulldogs confirmed in a statement Lewis has been stood down pending the investigation, after the club took the matter to the NRL.

Weidler tweeted; “serious matter: Bulldogs board discussed the matter. The issue was discovered by the club in the last 24 hours”.
Weidler later tweeted again, revealing; “Lewis is alleged to have taken property belonging to the team and NRL and attempted to sell it on eBay”.

The NRL provided each team with a number of home comforts for the team room, such as a Playstation and other electronic goods.

It is alleged that Lewis was caught on the hotel’s CCTV, wearing a hood and taking a soundbar speaker.
