Geez things really must have gone south for Liddle since re/signing in June for the next two years
"I’m really excited to be able to stay on with the club,” Liddle said.
“It’s been a bit of an up-and-down ride for myself personally, but I’ve loved being at Wests Tigers and really feel a part of what we’re building here.
“I’m determined now to make sure I continue to deliver my best footy each and every week and help bring success to the club, its members and its fans.”
Tigers coach Michael Maguire praised Liddle for his work ethic and said he was pleased to see the hooker remain with the club.
“Jacob has had to work really hard over the past few years,” Maguire said, “But he’s got himself now to a point where he has grown a lot as a footballer.
“He also knows where he wants to get to as a player and where he wants this club to be, and I’m looking forward to watching him continue to grow and achieve more in the years to come.”

He does not want to be coached by Madge.

He is not in the clubs plans.
(Family friend of Liddles, I believe)

I wouldn't be so sure he's here in Round 1.

So why re/sign when he knew Maguire had been extended, and why did the club re/sign him if he is not in their plans. That deal was done in June.
Not questioning you Demps, just throwing out how nonsensical that seems by both Liddle and the club if the chat is true.

Managers play the long game. If the player is signed (doesn’t matter to whom) then they are locked in on the books and can be traded in the future, securing the managers future income. I see liddle as the bread and butter client for managers because he’s not gonna be a superstar, just need him signed somewhere.

I would also like to know, what would he have against Madge, hasn’t it been Madge that has got him back to FG and has been patient with his on going footy education?

This forum has been infiltrated by idiots. Every second account must be a journo or other supporters. Haven't read so much BS in my life.

Man, I wish it was Tapine.

I heard Elliot to Raiders, a Raider to the Tigers.
The wiser guys then confirmed its Hodgson not Tapine.

I trust the source and as you have seen its backed by the brains trust.

I've copped it from multiple naysayers today only cos I backed the info. I didn't tell anyone anything.

Liddle is probably on close to peanuts and with the player market as stark as its been it isn't exactly shocking he'd be resigned for some dummy half depth.

FROM FOX LEAGUE -

"The Daily Telegraph reported Elliott has baulked at the idea of joining the struggling Tigers with the Raiders emerging as a potential suitor.

The 26-year-old has been linked to the Tigers since he was let go by the Bulldogs in the wake of his toilet tryst scandal on the Gold Coast.

The Tigers still have $1 million in their salary cap to spend for 2022 and Elliott was firmly in their sights to bolster their back row stocks."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can anyone show me anything from the club saying they were interested in Elliott? **Anything? I'd be curious because it is yet another article that is just completely made up bagging WT.

Baulking at coming to the tigers when he was happy to stay at the worst club in the comp b4 being sacked for being a never able to learn from his mistakes clown lol

And these absolutely drop dead useless journalists still have jobs and earn good coin

Considering he got fired he should be grateful anyone is interested. I think if we did actually contact him it would of been a low salary to prove himself and he wanted more. We don't seem to be paying overs anymore weather we like it or not.

Especially for average players like him

For once it would be great if the club was talking to a player in his early to mid twenties who is quality, who has zero injury concerns and who has not been sacked by his previous club for off field issues.

Dream on it’s the Weststigers we are talking about, always trying for a miracle signing.

Lucy? Hastings? Maumolo? Gillart? Joffa?

Your definition of quality is a little different to mine

I'm sure the team that puts our social media pieces together every few days are the ones who write up these fluff pieces each time someone signs. Can you seriously believe that a footballer would say those things? It's about as authentic as a politician's speech.
