The Wests Tigers supporters complain about us being a retirement home/retirement top up, but when a 31 year old comes on the scene they would rather throw out our young guys for them.

Liddle, if he leaves, which he won’t - will go to the Bulldogs and we’ll be stuck with someone that doesn’t suit the current game.

For once it would be great if the club was talking to a player in his early to mid twenties who is quality, who has zero injury concerns and who has not been sacked by his previous club for off field issues.

Dream on it’s the Weststigers we are talking about, always trying for a miracle signing.

Liddles families friend informed us of his extension prior to it happening and then informed us he's not part of the clubs plans.

We have new evidence dropped today from Cochise saying he doesnt like being coached by Madge and Bres saying he's aware of Liddle mentioning some unkind things towards the coach recently.

We've now got news we're going to sign Hodgson...
Madge knows its make Or break and if he wants to keep his job he has to have the squad backing him....

I know Jacob has his fans but the writing is on the wall.... be very surprised if his options aren't being discussed behind the scenes right now.

Agree mate. Injuries have crippled him. However, why would the club resign him if they didn’t want him. It’s just so incompetent

I don't believe it's on big money and at that stage Maybe Madge didn't know Liddle was not a fans etc..
With regards to Liddle extending I think there was limited options out there and his manager said lets take this and reassess down the track once you puts some games together.

Hodgson needs to be released also. He is not off contract

People talking stats need more perspective. Hodgson is an aggressive and crafty player with a good kicking game. Liddle is a mild speedster who struggles with decision making. On a team which has a lot of momentum Liddle would look really good, a poor man's Cook. On our team he gets bogged and sloppy.

Hodgson works well with little space, he has a deceptive slight of hand in his passing, he actively tries to lift his teammates in games and gets into the face of the opposition. Hodgson would work well at the tigers, I think he'd help a great deal with our attack and getting us out of bad situations with a good kick.

I don't know, I'm sure there's a deal to be made somewhere though...

A couple of clubs really need a 9....
Just has to make sense for the club.

Easy for me to speculate and say well hey, we should swap him to the Dogs for Cotric.... but the club has their own plans.

Have to wait and see how this plays out.
When/If Hodgson is announced, it's going to open some doors.

There is a bit of info floating around that tends to point in one direction, it could be something that happens soon or something that never goes past discussing it as a possibility.

Geez things really must have gone south for Liddle since re/signing in June for the next two years
"I’m really excited to be able to stay on with the club,” Liddle said.
“It’s been a bit of an up-and-down ride for myself personally, but I’ve loved being at Wests Tigers and really feel a part of what we’re building here.
“I’m determined now to make sure I continue to deliver my best footy each and every week and help bring success to the club, its members and its fans.”
Tigers coach Michael Maguire praised Liddle for his work ethic and said he was pleased to see the hooker remain with the club.
“Jacob has had to work really hard over the past few years,” Maguire said, “But he’s got himself now to a point where he has grown a lot as a footballer.
“He also knows where he wants to get to as a player and where he wants this club to be, and I’m looking forward to watching him continue to grow and achieve more in the years to come.”

Maybe he (and others) rated Madge and not the assistants. They're the ones who are gone
