Maybe he was the POM??

He is not the POM

Is the POM still in the picture?

I know who the Pom is, I don't see anything changing but I don't know who is contact is.

Was he on the documentary?

I won't expose him.

Well Pauga seems to be happy with the Decision ![Screenshot_20211015-220310_Instagram.jpg](/assets/uploads/files/1634295831307-screenshot_20211015-220310_instagram.jpg)

@Aubanon what’s the latest on Jordan Hill?

The Tigers never followed through with their intended meeting.

So he's moved on.

I’m sure Adam hartigan was meant to be at that meeting

Correct. Very disappointed at this outcome. We've let a good kid go because of one staff member's naivety.

What do you mean by naive @willow ?
Do you mean Adam Hartigan stood them up at the meeting?

Without speaking out of line, I was informed Hartigan intended to sit down with the family to discuss Jordan's situation, as he apparently caught the club by surprise with signing a letter of intent with the MacKay Cutters. I don't think WT thought he seriously entertained the idea of leaving, but WT made little to no attempt to keep him. Hartigan wasn't aware of any commentary made towards Jordan by Fita Hala so there was a communication breakdown at that level, and then Hartigan never bothered to follow through with the meeting with Jordan's family.

Disappointing and unprofessional which typifies so many aspects of this club.

Sounds like fita may have been brought in by hartigan given the Roosters connection ?

Disappointing.

Was Hartigan behind the Aloiai mess last year? I remember it all started because we gave a lowball take or leave it offer. Can only assume it must have been Hartigan given his reputation.

Hartigan seemed overally conservative with the $$

Hartigan was the one conducting the Aloiai contract negotiation, yes.

Just remembered that Hodgson and Hastings played together for the Lions in 2019. That’ll be handy with combinations.

And Gildart as well

Another bonus.

3 moves to give fans some hope.
Sign Hodgson
Sign Tariq Sims
Swap out Liddle for Nick Cotric

Line up instantly looks better.

Cotric is slow and one of the most overrated backs in the NRL.

Nick Cotric is not yet 23, has played for NSW and Australia.
If we could swap him for a middle of the pack, injury plagued hooked, I would make the move.
He is coming off a down year, in a team without a single decent spine player

If would could swap him for a middle of the pack, injury prone hooker, its a no brainer.

It’s not going to happen. If Cotric goes anywhere, it will be to Parra.

Looks that way, but if we were to offer liddle I think the dogs would be more inclined to relaese him to us than the eels.

Always thought they hated us more than the Eels.

Hodgson will be 32 but his game has never been about speed. Many players, even Farah, depend a lot on speed and so couldn't play to the same level when they got older. Others who play with craft sometimes even get better at this age. You can't just say he's 32 so he's rubbish.

Examples:
Cameron Smith played another excellent five years after turning 32.
Cooper Cronk was another who seemed to get better.
Cliffy Lyons was another, Jason Smith also played well in his mid 30s.
Ben Kennedy helped change the culture of Manly when he joined them in his early 30s.
Luke Lewis was in great form throughout his 30s.
Alfie Langer too.

Hodgson is the exact sort of player who should be able to maintain good form for at least a couple years. His game is quality passing, good direction, competitiveness and craft. I think he's a great player for us to have a go on. If it doesn't work out I don't see it being that big a deal. Hate the negativity around every move we make.

If he didn't work out it would be a disaster.

Eg. Game 3 next year - he does his ACL again,

Oh! no problem put Liddle in there, unfortunately we let him go, because we put faith in an old man.

Not to worry we can bring up Simpkin, unfortunately he won't be ready for another 2 years if ever.

Now your talking - we can play the Peach.

Oh! God, unfortunately I can see this happening.

Can say that about. Most of our positions.
What happens is Laurie breaks his leg again? Who is our back up fullback?

What about centre and wing? Who are our back ups there?

Happy to have simpkin under hodgson - with peachy there for emergency

Gee I hope at some point we can be happy with a new player coming to us , if the club sees fit we move a player on and buy a new player , Christ we all hope it’s for the better , we run almost last , let’s see what we can buy be happy and fingers crossed we go forward , I am sick of all the negativity that we all throw at our club , embrace it or move on , that’s about where we are

You can have the arguments of what if so and so gets injured for a majority of the league not just the tigers what if kotoni staggs tears his acl again
What if reed mahoney injures his shoulder again
What if George burgess tears his pec again thats part and parcel of the nrl the argument of Hodgson is too old look at cam smith
Hindmarsh
Cronk
Farah
Benji all good players into there 30s personally I believe a change of scenery will do Hodgson well after the falling out with Ricky it was clear his heart was no longer in Canberra he can come here and just play footy and get back to being a top 5 hooker

Yeah, if he gets a season ending injury he'll obviously not be very valuable to us. I think we're talking about whether he can still play or not.

If we're ruling out any player who can potentially get injured, or has had injuries in the past, we're going to struggle.

Also, we haven't even signed him and you're assuming we've not only signed him but also releasing Liddle and forecasting this all being a bad move because he's going to get an ACL early next year.
