Isn't it illegal to poach a player not in the last year of their contract? Shouldn't the NRL step in and fine Newcastle for the breach? Something fishy is going on.

I don't think Joey is a "Supercoach" as he would fid it hard to teach what he did so instinctively well. However, Luke has had almost zero development since Cleary left the club and he was Dally M halfback of the year. Looking forward to the move.

How are we not even in the mix for Curtis Scott... He would be starting straight away and fills a need we have.. Not to mention would be cheap and has something to prove..
He will go to the eels cheap and turn out to be another missed opportunity..
Maybe he doesn't fit our recruitment standards or maybe we are in Freeze patten until Sheen arrives but considering the position we are in Sheen won't be sleeping for months with the work he has to do.

Talking about a player like that who has 2 years to run on his contract after his current club has come out and said he’s off limits. It’s poor form.

Na it happens all the time so non-issue from me. But in the media, Tigers have said he can't talk to others.. so someone has approached someone. It's either the player manager who is to blame or Knights. But the fact that Joey has almost made it obvious that there are talks... Someone's gonna be in trouble I reckon.

I agree he needs to move on. I even agree with the argument it’s not the right time due to injury but you need to take opportunity when it presents it self.

How has he been unfairly vilified? He's the halfback, highest paid player and told all and sundry that it was 'HIS' team and he had the keys. He then produced extremely poor performance levels
