Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

We have Musgrove for another 2 years so I'm hoping him dropping out of favour is all to do with his injury rather than a lack of intent or desire. Hopefully he can find his form and fitness and bring some mongrel to our prop rotation.I believe he's capable of doing a job for us if his head is in the right place.

This one is more of a suggestion but how would you guys feel about possibly signing Tui Kamikamica from the Storm for 23? Plays Prop and Lock I think he could be a help he’s 6’5 he’s tall and he seems like a good player but tbh he is at Storm and we know most players aren’t the same when they leave but what do you guys think?

Would be a good signing. Makes good metres and does his job well. I’d imagine he could easily do what he does for the storm here

I think so too just the last player we signed from the Storm did bad and don’t want that to happen again

Agree
Would be an under the radar signing
Is it a rumour or just speculation

Just speculation and a suggestion at this stage haven’t heard anything yet rumour wise

Any update on Hodgson anyone ?
I thought I read that apparently some raiders players were saying he will be missed..

Someone mentioned it earlier today that some Raiders players said they’ll miss him so maybe it is happening probably officially announced next week

Haha love how it states due to lack of interest from other clubs 😂

😂😂😂😂 in all honesty though which club apart from the Dolphins needed a Fullback? Plus his asking price was the reason why but anyway Gutho I think is overrated let the Eels burn their cap for that money

I don't get the bulldogs' strategy: big money on all the flash, no money on halves and hooker and fullback (although they've got about 8 high priced wingers who want to play there). Dufty would probably be the worst fullback in the league. They look very vulnerable defensively and have no one to organise.

Maybe it all works out, but also seems counter to the way Gould did things at Penrith and also they way he's talked about building a team on the telly.

And they'll struggle with the cap for a while. So I don't really get what they're doing. With a presumably maxed out cap their ceiling looks to be about a marginal top 8 side at best.

Zacharey, you've got all the inside goss on the WT club, so can you tell us where Timmy Sheens is? What's going on?

I may be wrong, but as the saviour and messiah of WT, as touted by some luminaries on here, I watched the Nathan Cayless interview on the WT site and, from memory, I don't think he mentioned Timmy once in any reason for him coming here or in any direction for the future?

Can you get onto your sources please and let us know that Timmy is ok?

Thanks mate x

Last time I spoke to him he just said people who deflect are weak and snitches get stitches.

Ohh great, thank you honey, and please thank Timmy on our behalf for such insightful comments.

So, so boring.

I agree

Yet you continue on?

I put them bottom 4 in 2022,the mistakes they made this year have been made for 2022 also.Big money for players either in the wrong position or expecting new players (JAC) to play in a new position (fullback)

How in the world can they also afford Mahoney after just paying overs for Kikau, TPJ, JAC, Jackson, Thompson, Burton, Cotric, Hetherington , Allen, Flanagan, etc...

Surely they know they have to pay All the top 30 players..
I am really surprised Gus signed off on the Kikau Dollars as he normally offloads over paid players and focuses on young players on the cheap.

If correct re Mahoney, you would think that they'd have to get rid of one of their big $$$ players. Thompson the obvious one that comes to mind.

The strategy is simple: throw enough crap at the wall and hope something sticks. In 2-3 years time, Gould will either be hailed as a genius or a snake oil salesman.
