I think he meant that he is the best signing since Ellis... As in Ellis is still better, just no one signed of note since him. Other than Papali'i I'm inclined to agree

Api is a massive pick up for our seriously inexperienced spine. Heard he’s a great leader in a kind of setting the example way. Smallest bloke on the field and will easily top the tackle count. Also really good for our young forwards to have dummy half that experienced leading them around, it’ll only make them better.

Hoffman in the second row is interesting. I’m not sold on him.

Hoffman has been slow since he's been here, Too big in the back end....
Even in ressies he doesn't often look likely, If we have enough money this year, I'd let him go and give his Squad spot to Roberts.
