It's Cotric to us - Or Cotric to Canberra - Then Simmondson to Parra... They been on him for a while.
If Cotric comes to us, Then I can't see raiders letting Simmondson out.

With Thompson still on their roster the pressure builds. It could be a masterful tactic to get Thomspon at a more reasonable price.

My concern about Thompson would be how the game is going to be ref’ed in 2022. Are the referees going to send players to the bin for minor infringements? If so he plays to the limits. I’d have this concern about JWH as well, but he didn’t get sent off much in 2021

Have we rejected Thompson?

A few months ago we reportedly turned down a potential deal to take Thompson on. Same as the Storm - price wasn't right.

I don't think that Thompson is worth the money he is asking for and in particular putting the existing players like Stefano, Blore, Twal etc offside by paying him way overs.

We won't be paying overs. Dogs would chip in 25%-35%. If we can pay 500k a season then that's reasonable to me.

Can't see how the Dogs could release Thompson on 850k, while still paying 250-350k of his salary, and then try sign Paulo who's already got offers around 800k. Especially when they're already essentially over the cap for 2023 - even if they filled all remaining spots on minimum wage they'd apparently be over. lol what a mess.

I reckon Api has said he’ll get vaxxed or possibly already is, if it’s a choice between $650k or considerably less if he doesn’t. Which I would have to think we would have insisted of a clause in the contract, I reckon he gets jabbed.
