Race, sexual agenda, politics is always a sensitive issue because some people are intolerant of those things and some are victims of it. If something strikes a chord with you over a sensitive matter then private chat is a good start.
Being nasty creates nasty situations.
I have indigenous relatives so it's often hard to listen to people who are ignorant of peoples feelings.

They are usually the “I’m not racist, but…” types. No one ever admits to being a racist do they.

I do and have on here previously. I am never purposefully that way, though it is a constant struggle to put aside that which was ingrained growing up, basically throughout most of the education system and my parents were much less so than most.

Someone mentioned cancer earlier in relation to sporting solidarity and whilst such a damaging disease should not be invoked or equated to other problems in society, racism would be it's closest relative.

My sons' mother is currently in the finals stages of a Glioblastoma or Grade 4 brain tumour. I saw her again today at our sons' cricket game. To see her lose her cognitive function to this insidious disease is distressing. Thank you for raising this issue in such a sensitive manner. Well done.

Even if true he really still wouldn’t be able to get his contract registered and play with the charges still ongoing unless its coming to a close shortly but even if it is dropped Milford ain’t helping the Knights I still see them missing the 8 even if he does get to play there if true

You’ve moved the goalposts. You originally said “shocking” role model now your saying more than others?.

Alot of us take for granted how normal it is to wake up, have breakfast, turn up to work EVERY day. Many young footy players find themselves thrown into the high performance environment and are prone to problems in mental health, financial, gambling, substance abuse .
He keeps turning up and the club appears to have rewarded that.

I think it’s long odds he’ll be a success on the field but I’m optimistic. He’s probably still in top 5 quickest?

Nah I haven’t moved them. He is a shocking example of a man with huge talent, but no common sense, no discipline who screwed his own career up at 4 clubs before being thrown a Hail Mary lifeline at our club. Did he pin his ears back and repay that faith? No. Should he have received a contract this year? No.
If he is a role model, it is of what not to do.
