We actually ranked 8th in attack last year but I can't remember how many times we were chasing points (Cowboys and Titans game spring to mind) because of our crappy defence.
For as long as I can remember our D has been a shambles, with last year being our worst on record. I don't know how some people can't identify this as our #1 problem

I can only remember one period where our defence was rock solid and that was the start of 2018 when we were only conceding 10-12 points a game. Didn’t last.

Seen him in media content on WT website. Just rehab with the injury happening so late into last season. Doubt we see him this year.

Lui was a solid talent - Never really changed a game.
No Mate... That's the bare bones of it...
Even out of that, Twice - we still didn't make the finals.
That's why I won't single out players for our teams form...
We've had much better players in the club over it's history than we have now, And despite their brilliance - We lost more games than we won - Most of the time...
Now all of a Sudden it's the halfback - Or the injury prone Hookers fault...
Benji and Robbie (Obviously better players) couldn't do it most of the time, with arguably better squads - Why?
Just speaking hypothetically - I wonder if the Dogs and the Tigers get off to a bad start - will both sides want to be the first to punt their coach if it means signing Ciraldo (for fear the other club will get him)

If defence concedes 20points a game instead of 30 without the attack even being any better or worse the team prob makes the 8. It's that simple.
Imagine the Tigers had back rowers like Tallis and Carrol....
Or centres like Matai.
Crippling blokes that tried to take our edges.
Imagine we had an edge player like Luke Lewis the night he just terrorised Thurston....

It's confirmation bias. We constantly think we're the victims of things in this league, myself included.
But the truth is this stuff happens everywhere, at every club, all the time.
If Ciraldo leaves Panthers, Gus will get him to the bulldog's.

Interesting. Probably not us because if we wanted Ciraldo we'd have sacked Maguire in the off-season. I understood that Ciraldo has been offered the position and then the board backflipped.

Holiday culture .same as the titans . Even during our glory years , turning up on D was a choice it wasn’t compulsory , or always going to make a difference whether we won or lost , because of The skilled list .
Our culture sucked/sux , and the more we tried to fix that by implementing cultures that work in places like Melbourne , the worse our culture got . Because then it was confusion mixed in with a soft underbelly .
And too many guys here to play nrl , like Robbie said not here to play for the tigers .
We have to create/ foster a love of the club , which should lead to more wins .
Luke gives a toss . He’s there every time a team makes a break . Every time one of ours does .
But he’s not putting up back page articles or having his mates on 360 talk about how amazing he is , so eventually the narrative around him has skewed to what he doesn’t do so much , that no one ever notices the 90% of the time he does what he’s supposed to do . All of us sitting waiting for him to mess up .
We have all been manipulated by the fox media , even the guys who support him , like me .
To what agenda ? Honestly I think its either deflection from the heinous stuff teams like south’s and Cronulla get up to on the weekend , or , they want to take him away because he’s one of the rare 6 guys in the comp right now wio can actually play halfback .
