Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

After watching the raiders

We should really go hard for Shannon Boyd, absolute beast

And he’s coming off the bench currently

Matolino is terrible without packer getting the attention… Under 50 metres for a starting FR is just not good enough.. I say offer Boyd a 3 year deal ASAP

So you'd want Boyd to start or off the bench?
Mato will get back to normal once packer is back hopefully…
Id like those to start and if we signed Boyd a bench of...
14 Twal, 15 Boyd 16 MCK and 17 Aloiai

Strong impact bench.

Reports are Boyd to the Gold Coast, Papalli to Souths, Glasby to Raiders. Buzz also wrote a Manly player is short changed 100k from a TPA and clubs circling and it’s not Walker. It may be where the Taupau rumour has stemmed from. Of all the rumours Meaney, Taupau make the most sense Holmes is a pipe dream won’t be coming to the Tigers.

Surely tonight is alot of evidence at how much we need like a Marty Taupau type player. Would pay big $$$ for him.

Agree 100%

Would love to have that sort of player in 2019.

Nick Meaney at fullback (speed)

Nathan Cleary Halfback (Brains)

Tapau and Packer props. (power)

and then I woke up…

Someone said we need big Marty, not wrong, the other player i would chase big time is Shannon Boyd, i think whatever we payed for him he would be worth it.

We have Packer, Matulino and Twal under long term contracts and are getting Oliver Clark from penrith next year and people are saying we need better props. Does that mean that these players we signed on long terms deals are a mistake?

If Cleary does not extend his contract (e.g. rumours that he is targeted by the roosters), I pity the new coach as his early years will have a lot of his cap ties up in questionable signings like Reynolds, Matulino at even at that stage an aging Packer.

Michael Lichaa is a dud.. We just need Liddle to get better and get over his injuries. He has the talent to be a great 80 minute player.

No he's not, went out and played some quality football at the end of last year when he said he was playing for his future. Not sure if Dean Pay coaches to his strengths either.

Yeah I don't get that call unless Lichaa was injured , bring in Frawley I can understand , but then moving JMK to hooker 😕 :crazy

Please forgive me if I ramble on, am a little intoxicated and tho I've just got back from clubs can't sleep. Only reason I joined is because I'm feeling very deflated about my team right now and my boyfriend is a Warriors supporter and therefore is of no comfort. My heart is a little heavy and I feel so sad for the boys. I never expected such a strong start but because they exceeded everyone's expectations, it feels sooo disappointing right now. On the game, it was hard to watch them clearly struggle. But I think we were doomed prior to kick off with the team change. Thought Chee-Kam was superb. Lawrence going off then Nofoaluma's send off was the kick in guts for us. Refs were poor and while I love Benji, I wish he was more like a Peter Wallace type of player in using his maturity and experience to benefit team. By no means are we a team of stars, he should know our deficiencies and be playing suited to them. This was officially the first game I thought to myself , we miss Teddy. But Corey Thompson has been exceptional for us. I'm a Tui fan and actually hope he is rejoining the team in a couple of weeks if he is fully recovered from knee injury, another thing I wish us fans were informed about. As I thought he was out of flavour and not suffering from a recurring injury from round 1 (I think). I will be soooo glad to see Packer back and am wanting to see Josh Reynolds play now. Methinks Benji amongst others are fatigued. For those who say we've been found out, what exactly do you mean? Is it regarding the penalties or the team? I think this game showed we are well n truly in the rebuild stage and don't have an attacking style. There's the mixture of old (last year etc) and new, and tho Brooks and Benji played years ago they are even still learning to play together. Before I finish I've gotta say I love reading everyone's opinions and will continue to do so.
