Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

You seriously have to think if Kev's going there then we must be getting Barba.
Maybe he has a contract option letting him out if he gets an NRL offer?
In his current form Barba would be a sensation in our team.

You are adding 2 and 2 and coming up with 5.

Kev's in mourning with his family, after the funeral of a family member. Would seem an extremely odd time for him to be making life changing decisions, and for the club to be pushing him out the door.

Seems like total rubbish to me, and fluff rumours simply due to him not being selected and his replacement doing well.

Heleta is way too small to play centre in the NRL. Significantly smaller than Nofo. He did do well there in NYC but that's very different to NRL. Wing is very unlikely too. He's made his name as a nsw cup fullback, and as a backup fullback would be his shot at an nrl contract with a club - but most likely not us.

Didn't the Kevin rumour originate from this forum?

I see EVERY rumour on facebook hours before its mentioned here…
Speed isnt this forums fortay..although it is more accurate than facebook 😂
I basically only look on here for comfirmation after I've seen a rumour.

According to Cleary in his interview yesterday he said the players that help you get in the winners circle may not be the ones you want to keep you there. Read into that what you will, but the says to me that the moneyball signings are likely just to get us competitive again so we are attractive to bigger names who will take us that extra step further.

Kev has long been a whipping boy on this forum. He had a great World Cup followed by a great start to this season. The bloke is at the peak of his powers and if an English side have come knocking for him on top dollar I don't blame him for wanting out. I just hope he sees the year out with us. He improved immensely under Cleary and I'd like to see him finish what he started.

If they take Kev off us, then I hope we take Barba off them. More bang for your buck anyway.

I hear Kev is back in the starting line up this week so presumably talk of his release is a little premature.

Yoss u r in the know was Fonua dropped for turning out late to training? Kev is solid this year but Fonuas performance was huge last week.

What Balmain Boy said .. "Heleta is way too small to play centre in the NRL. Significantly smaller than Nofo. He did do well there in NYC but that's very different to NRL. Wing is very unlikely too."

I wish Watson all the best, but I can't see him making NRL in our side .. can he play at number 7 .. ??

Kev had a private family matter to attend to so was always going back in. Mahe has put the wingers and centres on notice after last weeks performance so he mightn’t have to wait too long especially now that he’s playing centre in ISP

No dunno. Kev was always coming back in given he was out for personal reasons. Geo reckons he was late for training. Sounds about right.

Yeah late for training. Solid performance in the ISP Cup and he'll be back or at least get the 3/4s to pull out good performances this week to keep their spot.

Cheeky little call out, it’s a possibility that he comes to the tigers but I ouldnt rely solely on the family connection.

I read on the Fox Sports app that Klemmer is open to leaving the Bulldogs due salary cap problems for next year if a club was able to secure his future for his family. He stated that the current situation is weighing heavily on him or to that effect.

I’d personally love to have him for the right price and surely Josh Reynolds could convince him to come over as it seems the Eels are circling.

Don't think he'd fit on the bus for starters , but I don't think he would be the right fit for the WT's
