Initially no. But at 500k p.a. For 3 years it’s a smart play. He’s 24 has time to grow under a good coach, fast and looks to have a good head on his shoulders. I thought we’d throw big money at an edge back rower as I can live with Thompson at fullback.

So do the Bulldogs have to offload the players this year or can they offload them next year?
 
Centre - Brian Kelly, Josh Morris, Fergo
Fullback - Issako, Holmes, Mbye (nothing over 500k)
Prop - Lessan Ah Mau, Klemmer, Lodge (don't like him but god he's a good player)
Edge - Marty Kapow, Jayden Su'a, Ethan Lowe, Corey Oates
Utility - Victor Radley….. Jake Friend is loved by Uncle Nick

Would be happy with any of these players in suggested positions

50/50 on Lodge but...... Packer got his chance

They don’t have to release anyone apparently but it’s smart for them to do so to get some balance. I’m not sure how the league year works I think it starts in December so won’t benefit dogs much releasing before June 30.

Farah's Thread went for just over 300 pages but there was a bit of merging involved…Lortay while it may have seemed like 1000 clocked out at around 174...

More recently just on a specific player/s Woods and Tedesco are around the Lortay mark...

As for longest ..this wins by far..and we still just got Godinet... :laughing:

If we had merged all the Sack the Coach threads over the years however Sheens and Taylor would have cracked 5000 pages easy
 
I'm not surprised this is the longest thread. Everyday in the media and even more so on social media their are rumours about player signing, There are podcast about Market Watch, Facebook pages , NRL360 would have much content if they didn't talk about Rumours.

It's good to have a place on the forum for all the rumours, otherwise rumours will clog up the rest of the threads. ATM, once it looks like a player might move or even if there contract is coming up it seems half the clubs in the NRL are then linked to that player.

Yes -never seemed feasible that Sharks would contemplate releasing a talent like Holmes even when and if Barba goes there.
