D Brown from Parramatta really stood up with Moses out.
Why can't we have someone like that?
Because our players are average

blore will get a spot for sureSince Tim ,Benji ,Robbie have little to say on recruitment the suggestions and rumours category is all we have
If I had to pick our absolute best 17 for next year mine would be
1.Laurie
2.Nofoaloma
3.Talau/ (new signing)
4.Naden
5. Maumalo/ Toa if Kenny not fit
6.Douehi
7.Madden
8.Musgrove
9.Korisau
10.(new signing)
11.Papalii
12.Utoikimano
13.Offengauhe
14.Nu Brown
15.Pole
16.Matamua
17. ( our best from junior development)
The major omissions are Brooks (just my opinion) and Tamou as I think can do better than his 35 mins a game
Hastings not there as think his rehab will run past season opening but of course he would be there if fit . Talau fitness also an unknown
We need to recruit a top class center and big forward at minimum
Joe O should be a priority IMO.Hi guys, here is our updated 'contracted' squad list for next season.
Based on this, don't expect us to sign anyone else from another Club until we have officially released players under contract & have completed our internal contract extensions.
Summary @ 9 August 2022:
- 27 players contracted
- 1 player with a mutual option for 2023 yet to be activated (Ofahengaue)
- 4 players who are contracted for 2023 have been informed they can look elsewhere or reports we are willing to offload (Peachey, Liddle, Gildart, Tuki Simpkins)
- 3 players on contract being speculated as potential sells (Nofoaluma, Brooks, Jake Simpkin)
- 4 players off contract who may be re-contracted (Tamou, Talau, Madden, O'Kane)
Assumption 1 is that Offa activates MO, so that is 28 players officially under contract with 2 spots remaining for any of 8 players already within the Club off contract or on T&T - Tamou/Talau/Madden/O'Kane/Nu Brown/Tumeth/Freebairn/Dias.
Assumption 2 is we'll re-sign at least 2 of these (if not 3-4) in the top 30.
Assumption 3 is that we need other Clubs to officially take at least 3 of Peachey, Liddle, Gildart , Simpkins, Noffa, Brooks, Simpkin before we even contemplate signing anyone from another Club.

Notes
- Joe Ofahengaue has yet to activate his mutual option for 2023.
- The following 8 players off contract or departing: James Tamou. Tommy Talau, Jock Madden, Henry O’Kane, James Roberts, William Kei, Luke Garner, Kelma Tuilagi.
- The following 4 players are either on T&T or Dev contracts who have featured in team lists this season: Austin Dias, Thomas Freebairn, Brandon Tumeth, Nu Brown.
Because eels team is still littered with representative players and upcoming stars and we are littered with reserve grade players, pretty simple really.
Not sure she knows much at all about rugby league?B Arthur has a good eye for talent

If true, means IP won't be coming. That would be outstanding
I always loved big, bad, hards as bricks TFrizell - I don't watch any Knights - isn't he past his best?..... would have loved him before he went to the Knights.

Exactly! We were after Nikora & Crichton a couple of months ago so I think Sheens acknowledges we need another edge backrower & experienced forward. Why ? IP has a contract and just spoke about teaming up with Sheesy, Robbie and Benji.
We also need two edge backrowers.
I was thinking as our other second rower. A 2nd row pairing of iPap and Frizzell would look pretty good.If true, means IP won't be coming.

Frizell would be huge if true because he is at that age where he wouldn't halt the progress of Tumeth, O'Kane, Kautoga who are at least 2 seasons away anyway. Plus the talk around Blore moving to the middle & Talau being developed as an edge backrower would complement this type of signing.
isn't that interesting...SEN Reporting swap deal imminent with Brooks to Newcastle and frizell to tigers... All we can do is pray
I heard Brent Read talking about it. He just said he thinks it would be a good swap. I thinks it is just media talk.isn't that interesting...
