To have Tedesco, Johnson and a good forward pack then Woods definitely needs to leave.
I am with you and would love to have Johnson and think that he would really suit this team. It is a big ask to make him come across the ditch but he can bring Matulino with him and he will have a former coach in Ivan Cleary.
**It all depends on how much a couple of backrowers and a decent centre/winger will cost us.**

Agreed, I would let woods go in a heart beat to get Shaun with us, I think forwards are easier to come by than players like Shaun.

Letting Forwards go to get Show Ponies… No Thanks!

NO, Letting an overpaid forward with no desire to be at the club go so we can buy a qualtity NRL player who has established themselves as a proven NRL performer and who is value for money

Well, its not really up to me but one thing is for certain, the Queensland Selectors on the panel are not going to let a bloke from NSW to replace a Queenslander in such an important role.

I understand your a kid, so I'll leave it there

Bugger me , missed that one Sorry for the misinfo

Kid can play though , maybe they don't need to replace Cronk

Tedesco is younger and at the moment better FB than Boyd and Slater, he is also more complete player than any of them.

Re: Woods, interesting that Hasler (who many on this forum rank next to Ballamy) is willing to pay for Woods $ 900k, and he has there Graham, Tomlin, Kasiano, Klammer etc. ?? Pleaser explain.

Woods (with a help from Seumanufagai) for the last 4-5 years, runs over 160 m per seasons, with 3 missed tackles on average. He often does the job for at least 3 other forwards at Tigers, see for example meters run by Grant, Lawrence and Aloiai against cowgirls.
In the long run, stats don't lie.
What we need is 2 more props who can average at least 100m per game with less than 3 missed tackle per game, Falise, Tatola or …?

Removing our best forward when we need to build a pack around him is just ludicrous.

As Mitch's departure is all but certain (allegedly) I am little surprised that there hasn't been more noise on here about Shaun Johnson joining our ranks.
The kid is every bit as much of a super star as Teddy, and unlike the "POTENTIAL" he would be replacing, he has proven that he is the real deal. If we are going to be throwing a million a season on a player, I would much prefer to be throwing it at someone like Shaun.
Our commitment to Brooks shows that the club has seen enough to trust him to be guiding the team around the park, and I think with some guidance from Ivan, he will be a stand out before the years end.
If this is the case, we don't need another playmaker like Widdop, we need someone more like Shaun that has the freedom to rove around the park an use that speed.
Seriously, if we had Shaun and Teddy in our team, these kids would destroy other teams. We would only need to recruit a good defensive back line as these two would take care of business. This would give us room to aim up at some big aggressive forwards.
Shaun's form currently is not all that great, but if Ivan does have a talent to bring these kids around, than he shouldn't be to far off his best once Ivan gets to him.
If this does eventuate, my excitement for this team will be at an all time high, and if we can jag a few quality big men then we will have a top 4 team for sure.
That's all.

that sounds great to me BodhiTiger

Slater is at the end of his career, and Tedesco is no where near as good as Slater was in his prime. Slater was so consistent week in week out. He may get there but has a while to go yet. As for Boyd I don't like the bloke but once again he is a complete footy player and deserves the Aussie fullback position.

Not defending what he did, but tbf, he's been on his best behavior since he's been at the Dragons. Everyone deserves a second chance if they are showing that they have reformed. And i haven't heard anything to suggest he hasn't.

He is probably the worst forward the Dragons have, big lazy slab of beef.

you forgot to add he is a dumb fool too for getting caught om camera urinating during a game and a bigger idiot for assualt where he copped 2year jail time

Its a disgrace NRL lets morons like these play again

**Mathew Lodge anyone** ??

Will win Prop of the Year in the QRL

That'll be nice - it will go with his grub of the century award.

If Tedesco goes We MUST TARGET DANE GAGAI I think he might even be better then tedesco and I love tedesco but even Latrell Mitchell is probly better Just saying there are players out there maybe even someone from the UK or Rugby Union options even

Are you for real - Gagai and Mitchell better than Teddy.

I give up.

Darius Boyd & Billy Slater are both off contract next year and are better fullbacks than Tedesco - if we have so much cash to spend why aren't we targeting them instead of chasing also rans?

Boyd only plays for Bennett and Slater was better than Teddy, not any more.
