The hope of getting Spencer Leniu seems all but hope Jakes Simpkin has been discussed as a potential swap but he's also be discussed with Eels also for a Swap with Nathan Brown, we aren't the only club looking at Spencer & his management has been speaking to multiple clubs, Storm are well & truly in the mix here.



John Bateman talks have increased recently after Wigan became more reasonable about a potential transfer fee. Don't be surprised if start being linked to St Helens backrower Joe Batchelor, he's signed for 2023 but recently employed a Australian agent & is keen to give the NRL a crack (Sheens knows this) also young Wigan Forward Morgan Smithies has been discussed.

Expecting some noise around Hastings to be come louder publicly soon as it appears unlikely a deal won't be done prior to November 1.

Hastings is more important to us than Brooks.

Do the Newcastle Deal and use the money for Nanai and Klemmer

Twal would be perfect if we play like NFL defence and attack specialists, but Twal is MIA in the attack, so we play in the attack with 12 players. To paraphrase our great spinner "cannot step, cannot offload, cannot break tackle".

exactly we can get Klemmer and keep Brooks that leaves Newcastle without a 7 that is perfect

Nothing particularly positive out of your info though.
Looks like we’ll have to be happy with Klemmer (i would be btw).
If we miss him it’s going to be a giant disappointment

Depends on what we get in return/ instead.
I have a number of motorcycles - can't use them all regularly. Brookes is becoming like one of them. I'm beter off getting rid of the ones I don't use much for something better :)

the club has Brooks and nofo together post 8 years it is a 200k discount or something. The Tigers still get the discount even if we lose Brooks as we have nofo on the books too.

There isn't really any positive news from the Pom there.

Klemmer would be great but he has to be released.

We desperately need a left edge backrower and Bateman I think played on the right plus it's way too risky a signing for us to make. I'd rather not make it.

Newcastle appear to want Brooks. It's interesting.

No Hastings, Laurie, Doeuihi or Brooks deals appear to be coming through. I'd prioritize Hastings then Doueihi but they appear to want to go to market.

There isn't much happening which is what I expected. It's a shame we are such mess in the spine. I'm not even sure who we should be signing.

maybe Sheens wants to lock in Brooks and try for Dylan Brown or Moses and thus sacrificing Hastings as a 13 and Douhie as a 6
