If we give them Brooks, they might chip in more for Klemmer.Brooks money? We're still $1m out of the salary cap, but instead of Brooks in our 30, we have Klemmer

I'm hoping Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds take us on as their next project!

It's not hate it's value, so he is on a back ended deal worth over a million next year, point is he is not worth $500 a year, let alone the average of around $700k plus a year across the contract length
Better than Rowdy , selected to play for aus at 18 , gun playerOf course for those who don’t know he ended being a Kangaroo until a bad illness finished him. Was a centre in the Chris Lawrence mould.
You'll end up with burnt lips.I loved Jose Felacio - Light my Fire!
That's a pretty good record when you consider the win % in the other 13 games.

Douehi is more likely to be waiting till November 1 to see if their is any genuine interest from other clubs that offer a better chance for him to achieve a level of success. You would be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't expect us to be bottom 4 ahain next year, and it is a factor that impacts our ability to recruit and retain more so than dollar values at this point.Good culture is about accepting less $ to stay with your club as Munster did with the Storm and as Chris Lawrence did with WTs and likely Luke Brooks will do with WTs. I have no time for players leveraging our club for more $ when Doueihi I'm sure is on a healthy contract and Hastings will no doubt be offered a good contract from our club.

We are no chance of signing Jason, but John is a possibility!
Anyone else think Klemmers price tag is a little hefty? Even @ $650k?I don’t claim to know it either but The Pom said we had offered to pay $800k to Klem and they wanted a swap with Brooks with us to kick in the $200k difference. Do the maths… he’s on a $million.
Not for us. We need himAnyone else think Klemmers price tag is a little hefty? Even @ $650k?
Definitely has the killer instinct we needI think I like Patrick the most out of the Bateman boys.

Sheens has stated at least twice, perhaps three times, that he wants Brooks. Knights want to deal but Sheens has stated we are not dealing.I agree. The issue right now though is he is on a million next season and that means it's hard to make a deal with him to stay or go. No one will take that contract on and he won't want to take a pay cut.
That is without even considering if it's worth playing him in the halves in our team.
Surely we should be considering all of our spine excluding Api as maybe's or short term options at best. Hastings might be excluded. Doueihi has shown some really good moments but his performances haven't really been good enough. Brooks is hated by a massive section of the fan base. Laurie has no one except for the Tigers after him and we only want him for one year.
Doueihi and Hastings will be here until end of next year. Too busy, always returning video tapes....I think I like Patrick the most out of the Bateman boys.
Geoff Starling (14 December 1952) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer of the 1970s. An Australian international and New South Wales interstate representative three-quarter back, he played club football in the NSWRFL Premiership for Sydney's Balmain Tigers club.Of course for those who don’t know he ended being a Kangaroo until a bad illness finished him. Was a centre in the Chris Lawrence mould.
Newcastle never mentioned $800k, but even if they do pay him that, still doesn't make him worth that, and certainly doesn't mean we match or beat it, especially for a player who has had 9 years to prove his value to us, so I stand by my commentsBrooks is worth what the market will pay. Your opinion that he isn't worth 500k is an opinion that is wrong because the market has always demanded he earn 650 and upwards his entire career. He currently has at least one club willing to pay 800k for him.
Nu Brown served a purpose this year. Plenty of depth coming through the ranks though, so not fussed if he departs.Tommy Talau will be in the top 30.
Nu Brown was offered a fair 2 year deal to stay but wanted more, Club will not budge on the offer & expect him to leave.
Henry O'Kane was sitting on the fence last I heard, offer still on the table, believe he will stay.
As mentioned previously Albert Kelly has been spoken to about training with the club in the offseason, only other confirmed T&T at the moment is Brandon Mansfield.
