A question for you my mate Bruno and a few other Italian friends that have all been in Australia for over 10 years most of them around 15 years and hate Italian people fresh off the boat and won't hang around them anymore and say very bad things about them the question is are they not cool ? My answer is twofold.
Firstly if we get two big props, naturally we would be replacing two.
Not including Dave Hollis for extra depth.
Secondly, we need punch. Our pack is so small. If we had a two prong front up attack with Klemmer and Lodge and Ofa of the bench, we can start to get on the front foot. Twal is good but he doesnt bend the line. He would be better at the dogs where he belongs.

If our offer to Klemmer offer is independent of Brooks' contract situation (as suggested) I think it would be crazy to release him. Simply because what would do between now and next year with that cap space?
If the only way to secure Klemmer is to release Brooks (which does not seem to be the case) then I believe there is a fair argument to be made. I would still be reluctant and would definitely not do so until we secure a half for '24 be it Hastings or an outside recruit.

I highly doubt that Newcastle would be entertaining releasing Klemmer to us without getting Brooks in return - that would be futile when Brooks is their main target. The only sticking point between the two clubs I assume if it is happening would be the figures.
