Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

We desparetly need a quality prop and at least another two quality outside backs or our side won’t improve on this year.

Definitely! If the Roosters are shopping JWH around let's take him! And I would add another strike backrower as well, not sold on Matterson as being the only answer to bolstering our pack.

I really hope the club is looking at Jack Hetherington - off contract, goes great, could be anything and Penrith are already over-stocked with gun backrowers. I reckon he'd be itching at a chance to cement a regular first grade spot, though now with CHN leaving he has more chance at Penrith than he did before - bugger! We will need to offer more dollars now to lure him away, but he'll be worth it I reckon.

Looks like the Kelly negotiations have gone cold, sadly. No mention of anything there despite both teams season's being over. I don't know who else we could target in the backs - Kelly and Oats would be awesome, but highly unlikely. There is the chance of Feki, but we need someone else also. There is talk of Tupou, don't know how since he signed a long contract with the Roosters early in the year, but if they've changed their minds, I'll take him

Lurker Q&A …...

The latest on Andre Savelio
David Toss: Hey mate, have you heard anything about Andre Savelio from the Broncos being signed by a Sydney club?

The Lurker: I haven’t heard that one but it would not surprise if he moved for a fresh start. Hopefully he can stay injury free.

We were after this guy last year. He is a monster.
Would be good pick up.

what about chase blair as a center, he only gets a look in at the storm every now and then, would not cost much, if he wanted a 1st grade start. hes big and fast and comes from a winning culture.

i think he is terrible, would much rather Justin Olam if we're looking at a Storm backup

If we are looking at storm players, we should be looking at Sale Finau. Storms U20S

Is there anything around linking us with peachy even in the slightest, thought he was meant to be signing for the Titans but i also heard there was some doubt in that as well?

EELS TO OFFLOAD MOSES

WE keep hearing Parramatta are shopping around half Mitchell Moses after a decision was made that either Corey Norman or the former Wests Tigers star has to go.

The Eels know Moses will attract more interest from rival clubs, which means it will be easier to offload him without a huge burden on their salary cap. Norman is on nearly $900,000 next year and would struggle to find a club to pay even half of that.

Does anyone still think Curtis Rona is a chance? Not making Wallibies test team of late. Don't know why, maybe injured. Still think he would be a great buy.

:deadhorse:

He does have a point - and there is a rumour doing the rounds that he was seen driving along Parramatta Rd and pulled in to Five Dock Maccas which is just near Concord.

My goodness - this could play havoc with a players mental health. Could we see a player using the mental health card as a reason not to be shopped around.
