I might get crucified for this but I honestly think we should target Hayne. I think he is exactly what we need. His back end of the season was really good. We do need a centre and someone of his calibre and his valuable experience is too hard to turn down. Thoughts?? I also heard he is being targeted by the Dragons so maybe we can jag on of their centres If Hayne is to go there.

Would rather the one pushed out than Hayne and am happy enough with Lawrence on our left for the time being.

Dragons, lose Jason Nightingale (retired) and Nene MacDonald (Cowboys) .. but will have Euan Aitken, Tim Lafai and young Zac Lomax to play in the centres .. Jordan Pereira will take one wing and probably Kurt Mann the other .. If the Dragons to snare Hayne .. Hayne doesn't want to play on the wing, but the Dragons will want to keep young Zac Lomax - he's a future Kangaroo centre in the making - so I wonder if Tim Lafai is on the chopping block .. ?? Dragons also have a young centre playing ISP Cup named Reuben Garrick who is also a jet in the making .. go after him, or even Esan's brother Steven from the Dragons

Lomax will be the first centre picked next year dont be surprised if Aitken is moved on for 2019

No one wants him and he would be great for us. He would slot into our backline somewhere and he'd be a massive upgrade on Fonua.

We will need 2 crosses for those crucifixions thanks

Better value on the market than Hayne , too many things seem to go wrong when he's about

Lets what and see what Santa brings us after a coach is announced

Hayne for me could be a risk but being a local lad from Campbelltown Way he may just be a good fit for our team and be popular with the local folks in that area , he is as good as any centre we have if not better he can still play well and he did finish off the season ok , he could cover Centre , Fullback , Wing , if a deal could be done I would take the risk ,

A bandicoot with a shaved tail would be an upgrade on Fonua.

Hayne wants $700,000 a season, bit much.

Ridiculous asking price he must be looking for a pension,i wonder which club would be stupid enough to give him one?

I suppose he's gotta start somewhere, may as well go high and negotiate down. Doing himself a disservice if he does otherwise.

Still wouldn't want him near our club. Nowhere near his best.

Rowdy will stay on, I’m pretty confident about that. Maybe 2 years, then head off to the ESL.

He said to my dad at the WT awards dinner that he wants to stay on for a while yet.

Benji and Robbie probably thinking the same way.

Why wouldn't Rowdy want to stay on? Playing decent footy, is easily in our starting 13\. Sure he's not an origin second rower but he's playing well week on week and you can't have the top player in the game in every position (unless you're Easts or Melbourne.) He and Matterson as a starting second row are not a bad outcome. Adding Garner to the mix as a good up and coming player we're probably one quality backrower short. Bigger issues in the front row and centres IMO.

Agreed. Rowdy just turned 30; Benji will turn 34 and Robbie 35 before Rd 1 next year.

Lawrence seems fit and clearly trains and prepares his body well. If the adage "you are only as good as your last game" holds meaning, then Lawrence has arguably come off his best season in several years.

Too true, this season was a great season for him, and he is a great humble player

I could be wrong on the Area Hayne comes from I thought I heard Campbelltown , sorry folks for wrong info if this is the case

He did grow up in Minto and played footy out there in his early years before he played for Cabramatta.

Yes he would be a upgrade, but we already have to many guys close to the end of the road. We need to get the balance right and get some signings with plenty of upside to them…like Matterson
