Anyone watch 360 tonight?
Anasta sounded like a bloke that was trying to sell a "Game Managing" 7 to me....
Also seemed concerned with the length of the contracts we're giving young halves...
Why'd that be you think?
He has one on his books currently at the club in Conti though I do wonder if all is not as it seems with Souths and Illias..
Fair enough. Thats half way official maybe.NRL 360 pretty much did tonight.
If the figure quoted of $600,000 for 3 years then if we offered him $850,000 over 4 years that’s a big differenceDearden’s a very loyal character and is indebted to Payten for allowing him to flourish. it will take a huge offer to prise him away from Townsville.

I would bet that's what it is....
Souths aren't getting rid of Campbell Graham, Mitchell or Walker,
Unless they're playing Wighton at lock or 14...
That Leaves 1 centre spot for him - And I just don't see a way they can pay him that much money to play centre
with some of the other big money names they have....
Arrow apparently signed for 800k a Year,
Murray - Walker on about the same...
Now Wighton on 800, And LM on a Motsa....
I feel like you, Something is lop sided there and Ilias might be feeling the tap coming....
But aren’t the forwards more a means to an end, rather than an end in themselves.
They can do lots of good work but not having finishers means it’s a waste of time and energy
Eventually this reduces the forwards performance coz having no finishers means their toil is wasted.
The black population of South Africa is about 7 times the white population and their first love is soccer !
cost of living in Sydney adds up. keep in mind its NQ's initial offer. still early days, they might be forced to go higher. If the figure quoted of $600,000 for 3 years then if we offered him $850,000 over 4 years that’s a big difference
He can rent a home unit in Mt Druitt and cycle to training.cost of living in Sydney adds up. keep in mind its NQ's initial offer. still early days, they might be forced to go higher.
So to clarify one point, the heat map was representative of where the play the ball was that immediately preceded points. The very large proportion of those tries are scored by backs.Once again great stats but your jumping to conclusions.
Our backs are rubbish. No arguments there.
As you stated as fact majority of the points scored are from 10 meters out and in the middle of the field.
Who scores them by chance? The backs?
I know that simply a game is won and losses by points scored and conceded but it’s not a matter of out scoring a team to win the game as Tim believes. It’s about wearing down the opposition, giving them nothing and gaining everything. The best sides are still the best defensive sides. Do you have a stat to dispute that?
Our forwards are an improvement on last year. But as Earl mentioned we still expect more. Is that wrong to want?
Seriously do not get why any of us fans worry about the actual salary range .. what do we care if they get 4,5,6. over 2-e years as if we have any idea, understanding or clue about any of it… ffs we never get the correct figures and for us to waste time on here saying oh I’d pay them 500, 000 but no way is he worth 600,000 as if any of that makes a difference to us is absolutely ridiculousHoops and Braith are right
We need an organizing 7
Fainu and sullivan are flashy 6s
Who’s our 7?
Sezer?
Then why do we need Fainu and sullivan on $500k each?
None of them are a 7.
Tigers Fck up coming up again
Plus my cousins sponsor the dragons - said sullivan has bad hammys… and he’s a bludger happy he’s leaving lol
Exactly this, Stats are just measuring certain reliable indicators, they contribute to our understanding, but the map is not the terrain… meaning that certain things that are very very hard to quantify usually determine the outcome,, for instance a missed tackle can look the same on the stat sheet but the way it is missed, where, how badly missed, and who it was on all determine its importance to the outcomeOnce again great stats but your jumping to conclusions.

Illias is unwanted at Souths. Walker to 7 and Wighton at 6 next year.He has one on his books currently at the club in Conti though I do wonder if all is not as it seems with Souths and Illias..
Unless South’s go deep into the finals this season, it’s highly likely Illias will be the scapegoat.Illias is unwanted at Souths. Walker to 7 and Wighton at 6 next year.
Ever heard of a bloke named Churchill or Bath ?Just to follow up on your post Y, Gibson played once for NSW so wouldn’t call him a star player and I’m sure we both saw Bennett play and he wasn’t anything flash either.
I repeat what I said that being a star player doesn’t necessarily translate to coaching ( but eg.in Bozo Fultons case it was different, great player, great coach.
Precisely, and our lazy, pretend structure frauds are never trailing through in support but always standing back out wide planning for the big move that they never actually run the actual shape correct for.. I am so over the lazy halves we have marched out week in week out all season this year!I basically agree but I think you are selling them a little short. Forwards bust the line in the middle and out wide now and score points. Pole busted over on the weekend. Stef has a couple of times I think this season. Edge backrowers are now the target for halves just as much as centres.
I'm not trying to argue that backs aren't important though or that your halves aren't critical. It's okay to want our players to perform better than what they have. We haven't had too many top performers. Api has been fantastic. I haven't seen performances like he has put in from a Tigers player for years. He deserves a massive wrap. Have any other players performed as well as Api has in their respective positions ?
I don't think they're lazy, they're just not very good.Precisely, and our lazy, pretend structure frauds are never trailing through in support but always standing back out wide planning for the big move that they never actually run the actual shape correct for..
