Staines re-injured his hamstring already. Only young and they might fix it up but having a lot of issues with it already, might make him put his asking price down a little.

Two or three hamstring problems already. Tommy T vibes. Potentially a great player but recurring injuries a worry. Wouldn’t pay huge cash on him. Burton priority for me

Hamstrings aren’t a good thing to have issues with. Hamstring issues linger around and can cause you problems for months on end. Hopefully he can fix it up

That's to be expected as he grows. I believe he is a must have. Possessing two or three genuine threats in the backline over 100m puts you in a different league as we've seen with Papenhuyzen and JAC.

Chris McQueen had a stormer of a game for Huddersfield over night, would be an astute pick up imo

Haha hopefully JRey saw the game

?

JRey could probably win man of steel over there

I think man of steel is judged on ability

Yep.

He’d suit the style of play over there

Not if Hastings won it.

Looking at touted recruitment it seems we've taken the approach of signing good/great players on big $ and filling out half the roster with cheap vets and youngsters.

It's not a bad thing. Melbourne did it with Slater, cronk and Smith and used fillers for many of the other positions.

I agree, think its quite a good strategu

Why would you not go hard to sign Burton, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4ekZGYYiHk

He would be a huge get, he really would be a better get than JAC in the long run I think, but I really hope we can get both, or Staines and Burton instead of JAC

Luai is only signed to 2021 according to ZT
I’d go hard for him over Burton, they might have salary cap pressures that would make Burton their better option

A certain fullback running around for the Storm had big problems with his hamstrings while at the WT. With the right rehab he has transformed himself into one of the best fullbacks in the game right now. Staines has youth on his side and can certainly get stronger over the next couple of years. Just needs the right rehab and strength program.

Man, Andrew Davey from Parramatta is such a good player. I’ve watched him closely since his debut, a late bloomer, but highly underrated. Reminds me a bit of Christian Welch with his build. 6 ft 5 and looks rock hard fit. Super tough, always has a offload in him, breaks tackles and never misses a tackle in defense. Heard Manly were going after him, we definitely should be doing the same! He won’t be at Parra next season. Quality player! Played 80 with ease tonight 🔥🔥🤙🏽

Oh for sure I’m not saying we should write the bloke off, was just thinking it might make him re-think his asking price if he’s going into the off season injured

At the end of the day he's worth whatever a club is prepared to pay. The danger is is getting into a bidding war, but we've seen over the past 12 months those days are behind us.

Understand but 500k for a guy who has played 1.5 games is over the top.. Understand he has scored 5 tries but even Jennings could of scored most of them.

Judging by our new recruitment process we wont be offering anywhere near that and rightly so. I would be happy for 350k but hey if there no one else due to missing JAC maybe 400k.

I wonder what many of the forum members will call the Centre of Excellence 5 years after it is operational
