Not sure if this is correct, but on the ABC this afternoon they said that Grant does not have a contract with Storms for next year but has an option in his favour.

When asked about Harry being 100% back next season, he couldn't say that - mentioned waiting for Cam Smith, and that Harry is more likely than not to be back, but definitely not 100%. Some chance there...

In all honesty there is not much talent available on the market next season unless players want to break contracts which personally I don’t agree with as clubs can’t off load dud signing?

Tamou on reasonable $ good Signing.
Need a whole new spine and some mongrel in our forwards. JAC 50/50 not sure really wants to play for us rather play for Souths.

Maybe a few fringe panthers players if they are looking for an opportunity to play regular 1st grade like Grant did this season.

I was quite concerned at the Tamou signing until I heard the clubs reasons for signing him. I think Liddle will do well at hooker if he can stay healthy and the new rules should suit him. We are incredibly weak in the halves and at fullback, with what we have Mbye has to spend the entire offseason under the highball and Doueihi into the centres. I would love at least one half but there is none available. We really lack that devastating high impact runner but it appears the club is not looking for that at the moment.

Like too see how Brooks plays with Marshall hogging the ball?
If can’t perform move on ASAP.
Mybe don’t rate him much and certainly not captain material on the field, but has played better at fullback prior weeks,
AD a centre swap for BJ and put him in the forwards when mono returns.
It’s really a very unstable squad that Madge has given most weeks with alsolast minute changes.
Real lack of depth shows.
Biggest problem our starts and coaching failed to rectify all season???
Don’t mind losing as long as perform tonight we showed nothing worthy of who we are??
I do ? The coach as well starting to think all bluff but have to be fair with whom he has currently.
Backwards this season with having a loan player as our best performer!!

It does appear that Madge needs certain types players to be successful, I don't think he is a coach that adapts well to allow him to change his style for the players he has. Hopefully he can attract the type of players he needs.

Talking about D all season and giving away 50
Is a reflection of the coach and his selections?
I would not have played Reynolds tonight??
Coaches should be adaptable Holbrook has worked well with under performing players

You’d rather have Madden? The blokes tiny they would’ve had Nelson run at him game. Reynolds didn’t play well but he made his tackles most

Just because your tiny does not mean you can’t tackle Alan langer is one example at origin level.
Reynolds continually ran out of the Line and didn’t tackle at all apart from Air.

He’s not exactly a great defender either though if you’ve watched the bloke. Add in his size which is a disadvantage, it being his debut and the fact our forwards got rolled and he would’ve been killed.

He does it so when forwards run at him he doesn’t give them as much time to wind up I’ve heard him talk about it. Trouble is when he does it against anyone with decent footwork they go around him.

Yeah I've coached kids to do the exact same thing against the very large kids. For it to work you need to do it as a group though and it is also the speed he does it. Its not moving up quickly, he literally sprints out of the line which leaves you with no lateral movement needed to effectively defend.

Gonna have a lot of props next season. We need second rowers more than props

I’d assume he’s one of the low paid players to fill those last spots in the top 30. Much better to have youth there instead of guys near the end of their career that’s for sure

It does appear that Madge needs certain types players to be successful, I don't think he is a coach that adapts well to allow him to change his style for the players he has. Hopefully he can attract the type of players he needs.

Reynolds continually ran out of the Line and didn’t tackle at all apart from Air.

I just don't get the sprinting out of the line, he is constantly doing it and if the player beats him any defensive structure is gone.

He does it so when forwards run at him he doesn’t give them as much time to wind up I’ve heard him talk about it. Trouble is when he does it against anyone with decent footwork they go around him.

My young fella used to do it so he didn't "have" to tackle. Makes you look like you're committed which is a long way from reality.

I was quite concerned at the Tamou signing until I heard the clubs reasons for signing him. I think Liddle will do well at hooker if he can stay healthy and the new rules should suit him. We are incredibly weak in the halves and at fullback, with what we have Mbye has to spend the entire offseason under the highball and Doueihi into the centres. I would love at least one half but there is none available. We really lack that devastating high impact runner but it appears the club is not looking for that at the moment.

Like too see how Brooks plays with Marshall hogging the ball?
If can’t perform move on ASAP.
Mybe don’t rate him much and certainly not captain material on the field, but has played better at fullback prior weeks,

Yeah I've coached kids to do the exact same thing against the very large kids. For it to work you need to do it as a group though and it is also the speed he does it. Its not moving up quickly, he literally sprints out of the line which leaves you with no lateral movement needed to effectively defend.

Yeah he just flies up. It has worked against some teams but Melbourne are too smart for it to work. His tackling technique is also awful, literally jumping up at people trying to tackle.

Put it back to nil confidence in there ability to tackle one on one. Mybe does it a lot as well when playing centre.

Yeah it can work for that too, as the ball is often passed by you. I once played with a guy who did the opposite and hung back in the defensive line to build up his tackle stats, People would run at him more because there was easy mtrs in his direction.

He’s not exactly a great defender either though if you’ve watched the bloke. Add in his size which is a disadvantage, it being his debut and the fact our forwards got rolled and he would’ve been killed.

I understand your observations is around lower grades from prior seasons, if never given an opportunity it’s really hard to give a negative comment about how a player might perform.

Agree options limited but could have not been much worst when another team puts 50 on us.

In all honesty there is not much talent available on the market next season unless players want to break contracts which personally I don’t agree with as clubs can’t off load dud signing?

Tamou on reasonable $ good Signing.
Need a whole new spine and some mongrel in our forwards. JAC 50/50 not sure really wants to play for us rather play for Souths.

Maybe a few fringe panthers players if they are looking for an opportunity to play regular 1st grade like Grant did this season.

I was quite concerned at the Tamou signing until I heard the clubs reasons for signing him. I think Liddle will do well at hooker if he can stay healthy and the new rules should suit him. We are incredibly weak in the halves and at fullback, with what we have Mbye has to spend the entire offseason under the highball and Doueihi into the centres. I would love at least one half but there is none available. We really lack that devastating high impact runner but it appears the club is not looking for that at the moment.

Like too see how Brooks plays with Marshall hogging the ball?
If can’t perform move on ASAP.
Mybe don’t rate him much and certainly not captain material on the field, but has played better at fullback prior weeks,
AD a centre swap for BJ and put him in the forwards when mono returns.
It’s really a very unstable squad that Madge has given most weeks with alsolast minute changes.
Real lack of depth shows.
Biggest problem our starts and coaching failed to rectify all season???
Don’t mind losing as long as perform tonight we showed nothing worthy of who we are??
I do ? The coach as well starting to think all bluff but have to be fair with whom he has currently.

It does appear that Madge needs certain types players to be successful, I don't think he is a coach that adapts well to allow him to change his style for the players he has. Hopefully he can attract the type of players he needs.

Just because your tiny does not mean you can’t tackle Alan langer is one example at origin level.
Reynolds continually ran out of the Line and didn’t tackle at all apart from Air.

I just don't get the sprinting out of the line, he is constantly doing it and if the player beats him any defensive structure is gone.

He does it so when forwards run at him he doesn’t give them as much time to wind up I’ve heard him talk about it. Trouble is when he does it against anyone with decent footwork they go around him.

Yeah I've coached kids to do the exact same thing against the very large kids. For it to work you need to do it as a group though and it is also the speed he does it. Its not moving up quickly, he literally sprints out of the line which leaves you with no lateral movement needed to effectively defend.

Yeah he just flies up. It has worked against some teams but Melbourne are too smart for it to work. His tackling technique is also awful, literally jumping up at people trying to tackle.

To beat him all that is needed is a step of and 2nd man. It actually used to be a tactic in touch football to slow the dump and run and Josh does it at the speed some touch players used to.

He’s not exactly a great defender either though if you’ve watched the bloke. Add in his size which is a disadvantage, it being his debut and the fact our forwards got rolled and he would’ve been killed.

I understand your observations is around lower grades from prior seasons, if never given an opportunity it’s really hard to give a negative comment about how a player might perform.

Agree options limited but could have not been much worst when another team puts 50 on us.

I’m definitely keen for him to get a run I’m just not sure this game was the right one to put him in
