Both have been brought up as potential targets. Both young, big bodies forwards but at this point Smith seems more likely.

They have signed Cotric, Waddell, Blake Green and upgraded a few including Elliott.
Overestimate their value? What do you think Hetherington, Staines and Burton are worth? Have to be $1m at least.

People think we are a club players don't want to go but Gee wiz.. The Dogs must be close to the bottom with the state there are in at the moment and the results for the last 3-4 years.. There Board member are fighting so its a good time to try and pounce on some players before they do.
I do think and hope that we have a few players sorted but just waiting for the season to end for these players. Fingers crossed

Smith has been in the Cowboys system since he was 15 and has remained at home in Mackay to play for the Cutters in the Hastings Deering Colts the past two seasons.

The 19-year-old is still eligible for the under 20s in 2020, but has already had a taste of Queensland Cup after earning a debut in Round 15.

A workhorse middle forward, Smith was a member of the Queensland Under 18s side in 2018 and was 18th man for the Queensland under 20s this season.
