Garret Smith has picket the knights fellas.

That would be a shame. We're lacking depth and can offer him opportunities. He's behind a bunch of origin.players at newie.

But living in the country v city may be too much for some country boys

I would love to see a poll that asked
1. Do you support throwing the cheque book at Ado
2. Do you support gambling and think it’s a part of a healthy life

My hunch is there would be a huge correlation between the two answers

Yes to 1
No to 2

Roberts will apply for a medical retirement, and the nrl will grant it , they seem to get what ever they want .

Go have a lie down, you've earned it.

Maybe Roberts could end up the Storm he the type of player Bellamy could do something with

Might be on the money.

James Roberts will be on the move in 2021 and the Melbourne Storm are favoured to win his signature.

That doesn't look very reliable.

Roberts couldn’t handle living in Melbourne

It doesn’t matter if we play Addo-Carr at fullback or wing just get him in the team and he’s going to help us win that’s all that matters haha if he fails at full back put him back to wing no gamble at all

You obviously didn’t see Reg play.

Actually, I saw Reg play many, many times. I never missed a Wests v Saints match, and as I lived close to Kograh Oval, and some of my mates were Saints supporters, I watched many of their home matches, as well as going with them to the SCG for the match of the day.

They don’t call him the prince of centers for nothing.

I really couldn't care less what the sycophantic press called "puff the magic dragon". In my experience, he was the most golden of golden boys to have played the game and he played in the most dominant football team of the last 60 years.

If you gave him some space (which happened often in that great Saints team) he would carve you up. But in a tight, brutal defensive match, he was not very effective. He didn't have the physicality to have an impact.

In addition, he was not a strong defender.

Your entitled to your opinion of course.

That's very kind of you - many thanks.

People worrying about Souths too much. They have to shed Roberts just so they can hold onto their current squad let alone buy an Australian level player.

My guess, they have to shed because he is damaged goods that are unrepairable especially now the club is under the microscope....of course salary cap might be the reason to

I don’t consider GI or Folau as freaks of the game, good players - yes, freaks no.

It's only my opinion, but I think GI (in his pomp) is the best centre I have ever seen. I would argue that he is more than just a "good" player. I would rate him above Meninga, Rogers and Gasnier (Reg), for example.

You obviously didn’t see Reg play. They don’t call him the prince of centers for nothing. Your entitled to your opinion of course.

nglis would not have survived the era Reg Gaines played in

I can think of a person who: changed clubs ( Newtown ), changed positions, second row to wing, and significantly changed the prospects of a club ( Wests Magpies ).

He also changed rugby league. For good or bad is a matter of opinion. It was over 30 years ago, however, it shows that one player can change things.

Any guesses?

Will never forgive him for Super League. - As a player - as Hobbo would say, just a plodder.
