It's only a few days after Nov 1 but it seems very quite and no noise about.. Normally media has us involved with players but nothing except JAC and we all know how that's going.
We haven't even heard from @THE_POM for a while so assume nothing is happening or his scared to give us info in case the player back flips again on us..
I was hoping to have something this week to get the excitement up about the off season.

Pom posted two weeks ago. That's fairly recent isn't it?

No really considering its Open season now...
I was just using POM as an example as it's been really quite.
Anyway we will end up signing someone so will wait and see.

Bevan French has signed a new contract at Wigan so cross that name off the list.

thank goodness.

Yeah I didn't want him either.

If JAC goes to Waynes World who we chasing? I vote (long term deal) Staggs - or a two year deal for Matt dufty both have X factor

I am assuming that Doueihi will start the season at 5/8 next year. I had a look on Zero tackle for off contract fullbacks and there are no star fullbacks available, the best I could find was DWZ, Tyrone Roberts and Albert Hopoate. DWZ is very inconsistent, Tyrone Roberts has never been a star but kicks goals and Hopoate has not set the world on fire so far. I am not confident that any are better than Mbye or AJ.

Could sign Staggs or Dufty for 2022 and agitate for a release both clubs have cap concerns and needs

I hear Corey Allan maybe available.

X factor alright. They couldnt tackle getting laid in a brothel. Both of their defence efforts are attrocious.

If we miss out on jac we should only be looking at a fullback with speed or xfactor. Allen has neither. If none available look at back row upgrade

He looks like a similar player to Doueihi with similar pros and cons

It's hard to believe Corey Allan is being discussed. Too slow for WTs. We should have asked Dragons to release Dufty when McGregor didn't want him in the NRL.

This is getting comical at this point but in other unrelated news... we may or may not hold all the cards, for Burton and Mansour.

Love the little throwaway line at the end. ?‍♀️
```
The Tigers are still the basket case of the NRL open market. They’re struggling to sign a player.
```
Oh man!!

We could Sign Teddy, JAC, Harry Grant, Nathan Cleary and the media would still find a negitive about the club..

But Jonesy, we haven’t signed any of those players. The harsh reality is their opinions are based on actual events, actual poor performances in administration. WT fans’ opinions are formed with the influence of unconditional love. Our opinions are skewed, like the needle on a compass our default position is predetermined.

Do you not think that the club is now on the right track, barring our results, which will come with a better roster.

You only need to recall how many games we had a good position in or drop our bundle early but showed glimpses of good footy.

The Newcastle games showed our forwards could not match bigger men and I think the righting was on the wall after that.

The only thing I couldn’t understand was the lack of importance shown for a goal kicker, I don’t know the stats but it felt like we could have lost a game or two because of it. Then near the end AD starts kicking them from everywhere?
That is on Madge.

It looks as though Mbye will start at full back and AD at 5/8. Only pick ups Tamou, Stefano and Mono returning. Centres could be BJ and Mono.
Unless we can Jag some decent signings 2021 is going to be another poor season.

One issue I have us the rate of progression of juniors through our system. We've introduced a few young players but two have come from different clubs' systems. Is there room for improvement to junior development to accelerate promotion to the NRL? If we cannot buy top line talent, streamlining the development system is potentially an option?

Yes I do , we now have a very good coach. He may even prove to be better than very good. If he drags us kicking and screaming into being a genuine finals team by 2022 he may become the most sought after coach on the planet. This is why I don’t understand the constant negativity in the media, particularly at this time of the year, it seems to have been ramped up a notch? The media (also the blues coach) have been relentless. They can’t all be doing Benji’s bidding? There’s something more to this? My concern is with the CEO and other board members. Are they making Madge’s job easier or harder?

Dufty would be a poor signing even for 1 year.

Did Dufty regain form around the same time Graham was semi retired?
