Bumped into Laurie’s family earlier today as I’m living in Penrith. I was with my Tigers mates and they said to us we will be happy as he is coming to the Tigers. Good signs ahead, this kid has talent. One to look out for

Thankyou, these are my thoughts exactly. Especially re:Mansour.
A club legend and loyal club servant - therefore their fans love him - but there's a reason he's not in the club's future plans, and they(the fans) can't wait to see the back of him in all honesty.

Is Lee Hagipantelis the only chairman from an NRL club that is always in the media regarding player signings? This guy needs to keep his trap shut and let Pascoe and Hartigan do their jobs. This guy just talks so much rubbish in the media. It is like he consistently looks for something to say to the media. Personally, this guy hurts our brand.

I can see another Idris situation with developing with Jimmy the Joke,cheap is very rarely worthwhile.As for a 3 year contract for an over the hill winger in Mansour i am completely dumbfounded.a thousand times NO

My guess is if BJ got a 2 and 1 deal , then mansour will get a 1 and 1, ie . an option in the clubs favour . That’s a fair offer for a 30 yr old winger

Thing for me is if we are after anyone else from the traitor's squad, then the last thing WT should be doing is clearing a top 30 spot and some cap space for them.

Agree.. I love his passion for the club and he talks very well about us and that's a good thing..
I agree he needs to keep a little more tight lipped around signings until it announced though..

Happy for Laurie to stay for another year if he isn't going to be ready for top grade per opinions on here, but maybe for Burton.

Reckon we’d be way better served by Cory Allan than either of James Roberts or josh mansour tbh. He ain’t no JAC but would easily be our best fullback, a position we are in way more need than wing.

Mansour on the cheap for a year or two would be fine. He and Tamou would certainly be a great example for our younger blokes and will help to set standards. ***I doubt Mansour would be starting every week***, rather creating competition for spots and if that was so, good. It won't block players at all, just make them earn their position.

Why the hell would we entertain a player that isnt good enough to get selected?

To answer your question: depth. Do you think the Storm signed Brenko Lee and said "he'll definitely be our starter in the centres in a finals game"? They also had Seve and Momo so you'd doubt it but I'm sure they thought, in a pinch, he could fill in admirably for them. That's what I meant about the signing of Mansour. Solid pro who can be relied upon to put in no matter his circumstance in the team.

Brenko Lee is the starting centre for the Storm. Seve and Momo are "depth". YOu can tell this because Lee gets picked and Seve and Momo dont.

Brenko Lee is 25 years old. Josh Mansour is 30yo and has had an ACL injury. You do not buy 30yo's with reconstructed knees for "depth".

Well if everything is so absolutely obvious to you then tell us why you think the Tigers are interested in him? I was just tying to provide an idea why the Mansour signing could be okay and won't ruin the progression of our youngsters.
