A lot of negative views on prospective signings I’ll admit they are high risk Laurie, Jet, Joe O, Siro.
Reality is we struggle to attract players have done so for years. There is potential for us to have an upgraded team next year even with losing Aloai and Matterson last year.

Joe O will be like Luciano last year replacing Matterson. I suspect he will be an upgrade but a higher risk proposition and end up much cheaper.

If we don't take risks we stand no chance. This is the reality of the situation our previous coach's left us in.

What's the worst that can happen. Finish 9th?

I agree to some extent about taking risks.
Look at Melbourne
They take under achievers every year, I know they have a great system and all the rest but still they take unwanted players with potential and make it happen.
JAC, Paps etc.
A good coach
The timing
And the attitude of the player plays a major role in the outcome.
If Roberts has the right attitude then we have struck a good deal, if not than we are no further backwards then we are now.
At least he’s not breaking the budget and it’s only 2 years.

Players around the league are seeing guys having the best form of their lives under Madge. Aloiai, Nofoaluma, Matterson, Doueihi, Grant, Leilua. All guys who were not doing much at their former clubs or under previous coaches who have become big names with Madge.

Joe had a stinker of a 2019 but if the deal is subsidised I'm happy with a leap of faith that he can re-capture the 2018/19 form. I know people are saying that he can replace Josh but he may also be an option as a right edge back row rotation (with Blore). Played edge and middle for Brisbane

The whole Broncos club had a stinker in 2020. I actually feel optimistic about the signing if it happens.

Me too, I think Joe O would be a great signing! Before 2020 he was one of the best young forwards going around. Hard to play very well in a team that was just diabolical for most of the season. Lots of problems surrounding the Broncos this year, I think a change of club would do Joe the world of good.

Joe O best years are behind him. He was terrible in defence this season.
I cannot believe how we don’t learn from the mistakes of the past years by continuously purchasing rejects or older players past their prime.
