No signing is a certainty to perform,all clubs have signed duds.What all this talk about JAC? You must realise by now that he wants to join the indigenous shooting club at redfern.

I don’t think so . I think he wouldn’t have minded joining us , but thought the team was too weak , and didn’t want to be a saviour . Putting my conspiracy hat on , I could see him saying improve the team and we will look at it over the next 12 months .

I reckon if Roberts goes well and the team performs better overall next season, there might just be a chance that JAC will sign on in 2022, especially with a young Aboriginal gun like Laurie coming in also - you just never know.

Save the money on others like Laurie

I think Packer will be in the coaching staff next year , or in the back room somewhere . A really smart bloke , who has a lot to offer ... if not on the footy field anymore

Turbo is thier lock , Keppie is meh , and Paseka can only got for short bursts . We scored a lot of our points when he came on the field . He’s very poor defensively . IMO stefano will be better , so will Tamou , and Musgrove is already better than Paseka . So really we are talking about turbo , who plays 13 anyway.

I also no longer want Aloiai around the club and understand keeping him isn't exactly ideal for the team but seeing as he's not the first to pull this stunt (with us), what message does releasing him send to our players and the NRL community?
It's happened twice in as many years and the more I think about it given we release him, other than Lee's stern plea to the NRL, we'd be doing nothing different to previously.

Agree Lauren, I can’t believe people willing to accept business as usual, some very short memories me thinks.

And to the people crying about his behaviour, you have all been fooled by the instructions his Manager gave him, like Matto’s manager before that. Kicking stones 101.

If everything falls in WTs favour and we find ourselves having a much better outcome eg; Curtis or Schuster swap and the possibility of Joe Ofahengaue.

Why would you want a toxic/disgruntled player trying to disrupt/corrupt what WTHQ have managed to turn into a more favourable outcome for the club.

Sironen or schuster swap the club has done well.

Getting some money ball vibes off our recruitment at the moment

These guys might not work out but they’ve got a point to prove and at their best can be damaging players to play against. Madge and hartigan have once again managed to find some decent signing options when it looked like there wasn’t any

Fingers crossed we do okay next year and can entice some big names to join us

If they don't work out they are failures ...whether you paid 150 k or 750 k for them

They’re still failures but for $150k you’re not too upset by it. I think Joe O is a riskier signing he was pretty average this year and is on good money. It’ll hurt us if Madge can’t get him to perform

Ahh the old “if Madge can get him to perform”.

If this forum is be believed, his wife has been sick, which would mess any player up. Isaako had a similarly tough year losing his father.

His wife clearly had cancer dude . There’s plenty of photos of her going through that process . Its funny how insensitive people are , with other people’s grief and stress . Bosses be like “ we are a family , come to me if you need a chat “ , also bosses “your performance has been poor this year , you need to pick your act up “ totally forgetting the reason you went to them in the first place . Narcissism to the max .

My concern is a bloke who had a brand new bub and a sick Mrs being asleep drunk behind the wheel of his car

If he was my brother I'd give him a clip and tell him to wake up to himself


If he was a rogue like an Allan Langer or Munster you could cop it .....he isn't in their leagues .....me I'd pass on him

He also makes more metres than most point is they have players. Also some good young forwards. They can wait they were smart sign players ahead of time. We should have done nothing with FOX and signed him for 2022. Then negotiated a release.

Schuster would be the best player for our team.
Siro has done his knee including ACL in the last two years. Can find an injury.

This may have been posted before but Brandon Tumeth (Holy Cross, Ryde, 2nd Row) and Keane Tavui (Westfields Sports High, Wing) made the 2020 NRL First Schoolboy Team. Mikey Tannous (Hills Sports High, 5/8), Apisalome Saukuru (Westfields Sports High, Prop) and Charlie Lennon (St Gregory's College, Second Row) were selected in the 2020 NRL Seconds Schoolboy Team).

I feel that the recent signings are clever from Madge and co. Looking at building a roster that will still be competitive in 2021, but ultimately looking for long term, sustained success with some gun young players coming through the ranks.

The likes of Simpkins, Blore, Stefano, Laurie, Asu should pay off for us. Just hope they continue to buy into Madge and the culture he is building. Add in some of the potential prospects in SG ball/Jersey Flegg (Saukuru brothers, Tannous, Fuatimau brothers, Tumeth, Guyan) and we hopefully have some great players that kick on and can be retained long term.

James Roberts is a good signing on the deal we got him. Plenty of upside and worst case scenario he does one year with us. I feel like Joe O would be a good signing for the club too, if we can get him. Madge should get him fit and firing.
