Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Club is hoping to use Joe Ofahengaue as a ball playing 13 & allowing Twal to go back into the prop rotation.
Broncos not very forth coming to begin with like the Jack Bird situation but appears once bitten twice shy & they've now come to the party & looking to cover close to $200,000 of his 2021 contract & closer to $150,000 for 2022.
Looks promising but few are skeptical in relation to whether or not Ofahengaue is the answer or not.

Another awesome update.

How good is JO ? I haven't seen enough of him to know. How much is he currently on and how long is his contract ? This matters because we don't want another Mbye situation.

who are we looking at to fill our squad for 2021 and who are the main targets for 2022 besides Crichton?

At this point Crichton won't be going anywhere, Cordner's uncertain future has made Roosters re-think their roster.

Any chance for a player swap for Aloiai? Seems unlikely to me. Maybe another form of compensation

Thanks for the updates mate! I'm clutching at straws a little but any more news re. Grant or JAC coming here or have we moved on now after recent developments.

I've read/heard a few times he's on about 500k up there and has 2yrs left on current deal so if Broncos are tipping in what THE POM has reported then is good business. He had an ordinary season this yr however so did the entire team bar a couple. He also had the health of his partner weighing heavily as she has been battling cancer. If he was to rediscover the form that saw him selected for QLD then he'd be a huge plus.

Manly's depth in the forwards is rather thin & extremely reluctant, only names mentioned so far have been Curtis Sironen & Haumole Olakau'atu. We prefer a 2nd row option.

Is Laurie a chance for 2021?

Latest request last week was denied hence the 2022 signing announcement, I'm sure his management will try again considering he's on a development deal but Panthers gain nothing from releasing him.

I would offer Crichton and or Stagg $700000 a yr contract fo 2022.If we get lucky great,if we don,t the clubs wii have to reiease other players to fit under the cap.The Tigers have been shafted all year let give some back, .We will have at least 1.8 mill for 2022 strike now.

If Manly don't come to the party with a trade, what are we going to do with Aloiai?

Wait for something better to arise that we need his $$ for.

There was talk on here of garner possibly going back to manly. Is there any option of this happening amongst the aloili deal

Ok cool, so we are holding firm and expecting him at training 30 November?

Are there any players we’re chasing apart from the obvious ones like Ofahengaue, Siro etc?

At this stage yes, his management wanted it sorted by then to save the embarrassment of coming out in Tiger colours after whats been said, but club has made his manage to try & present an acceptable offer for release so pressure is all on him.

I only saw Haumole Olakau’atu come off the bench a couple of times but he was very strong.

He made heaps of tackle breaks, and is on bugger all $$$ wise.

Only a couple spots left for 2021 & want all bar 1 spot filled prior to 30th of November.
Recruitment meeting next week after proper pre-season starts with current/future targets to be discussed.
