Are they old enough? They changed the vote age from 21.--Now considered an adult at18.Mainly because of the kids sent to Vietnam.

Because we would be paying most of the freight but get young Laurie as a sweetener......and it would be a fabulous outcome for everyone. Take Grub to and it would be like winning lotto

If the NRL thinks there isn't a massive recreational drug problem throughout the sport in general then they're kidding themselves. In particular Columbian marching dust as a player can have a few nose beers and it's gone from the system within a few days.

Not just an nrl issue, societal issue. You won’t find many people out there that haven’t dabbled in stuff like that these days

Well I’m one who can say I’ve never dabbled in any illegal substance and proud of it

All good mate if that’s what you put value on. But I’m one that has dabbled plenty and not ashamed of it in the slightest.

For me there’s something to the old “you only live once”’ adage. I have countless memories of some of the funnest and most priceless nights of my life.

But I’ve been lucky enough to not let it get on top of me and always managed to balance things.

Still dabbling now Or over it?

Slowed down a bit but there’s still a time and place.

I wouldn't release packer. Number one its a contract year and he will prob play like a cross between JT, JWH and God. Two, there are no players around atm to buy if we free up his coin. Three, he owes us an ironing out of aioli when we play manly. Still love watching the Matterson attempted tackle.

We will not be freeing up coin as we will be paying most of his contract, but we might land a fullback a year earlier than expected. Also even if Packer played out of his skin he will not make our top 17, he has to many better forwards in front of him

Yeah I didn't mean freeing up all of it.
Wouldn't surprise me if he did play a few games this year.

You got my hopes up there for a second... Sometimes a hyphen can make all the difference

Haha...my bad ?

Looked at WT contracts.12 players not signed for 2022.I can only see 4 at most being updated. WT will be a very different side after next year.If you think we have had arguments , baggings galore, and a volatile forum over a few signings and departures, this is only a shower compared to cyclone to hit at the end of 2021.

I'm becoming excited by the anticipation @sleeve .

Well you need to build a squad that buys in.
I can already see the following struggling in 2021 to retain a contract for 2022.
Chee-Kam, Mikeale, Packer, Reynolds, Walters. (5)
Musgrove i think will be retained if plays enough football looks lean and fit in photos, Liddle as well ???
Rest are mainly development players that may not even get a run till later in the season with injuries.

With the addition of Packer, they would have an unfair advantage!

I'm surprised there's not been much talk if Mikaele re-signing. Sure Blore was the priority, but Mikaele could be a very solid prop for us. Makes good metres, aggressive, but still young enough to be learning his trade and improve his defence that he's not in super high demand. Lock him in for another 2 years at 300k

Jury’s still out on Mikaele. I think the Tamou signing was partly due to Mik not having developed as expected. Perhaps we will see the best of him in his contract year. I hope he does well as he has great potential and a good head on him.

Jury's still out means he's not overpriced. He still only 22, played over 40 First grade games and in a 'poorer' season he still averaged 85m a game off the bench with tackle efficiency at 96%.

He's far ahead of where Aloiai was at the same age. Should definitely be locked in on a modest contract.

Agreed. Started the year really well and then form only dropped whne he hurt his knee. Still really young and was already one of our most powerful runners.

I thought tamou was a signing to help develop our younger forwards like mikarle and seyfarth

Does anyone know what happened to Matterson John's. Thought he showed some promise in the trial last year?

I like the idea of a Packer and Laurie swap even if we had to pick up the majority of contract.
